Glory of the Firelands Raider and Mounts

There are 7 bosses in the raid, for passing you can get the achievement Glory of the Firelands Raider (for this you need to kill all the bosses in heroic + make a few additional achievements). Glory rewards a Firelands raider with a beautiful purple mount– Vicious Firehawk / Corrupted Millazor Egg . In the dungeon, reputation with the Avengers of Hyjal faction is pumped.

As we prepare for T Umanam Pandaria, we will definitely have time to remember the past.

After spending a lot of time and effort, I have created my list of the top five Cataclysm battles, which I present to you. Under the definition of "best" I got unforgettable, complex and interesting battles, which at the moment are almost impossible to see due to various kinds of nerfs and simplifications. These battles are what we want from Blizzard and wouldn't mind seeing more.

Halfus Serpent-Cutter, Bastion of Twilight

Okay, I agree, clearing trash on the approaches to the boss was far from the most entertaining phenomenon in the World of Military Craft, but the mechanics of the fight with Halfi got exactly where it should be. His companions changed every week, forcing you to adapt to each new raid in a new way, without changing the essence of the battle much. High healing requirements at the very beginning of the battle challenged healers at the very beginning of the battle, additional adds constantly kept tanks on guard, and the berserk timer did not let DPSers relax.

Moreover, it happened at the most unfortunate time for the whole raid - at the very beginning. The lion's share of boss fights get more difficult towards the end, with a policy of gradual learning of tactics, starting with sleepy keystrokes, gradually increasing the difficulty of the fight to large-scale movement and brutal requirements for DPS, tanking and healing. This is how players can test themselves and learn the game. But not here; most of the trays (attempts to kill the boss) the decision on whether to wipe or not was made already in the first minutes of the battle.

Alysrazor, Firelands

Make a barrel. Do you remember this achievement? By the way, there is probably some reference to the StarFox game in this achievement. Happiness to those who managed to play it at one time. Personally, I was her fan. However, in addition to the StarFox references, Alysrazor had its own unique combat elements. The tornado phases challenged the entire raid at once, forcing them to move quickly and accurately. Tanks sometimes had to play like DPS classes due to the damage buff they were receiving.

You could also fly there. Are you a fire mage? Do you like the idea of avoiding clouds, flying through rings of fire, and getting huge speed and crit values? It's your time to shine. Unless, of course, your name is Icarus, which, as you know, flew to the sun and burned out.

Atramede, Blackwing Descent

"My raid leader said that my noise level is too high... I even turned off the microphone! But it did not help! I don't understand anything." Okay, no kidding, the fight with the blind dragon Atramedus can be considered quite new, the noise in which was the basis of the mechanics, and instead of tracking their debuff, Blizzard decided to make it part of the UI (user interface) and give everyone the ability to track the noise very conveniently with the help of a special frame in the center of the screen. And this had its own "zest". Boss abilities could do little damage and still become deadly. Add to this an amazing model, a chaotic air phase, ancient dwarven shields and a very interesting trash, and the battle becomes just superb.

Sinestra, Bastion of Twilight

This boss is arguably the least killable in all of Cataclysm (due to having to deal with Cho'gall beforehand), which is a huge annoyance. Sinestra is one of the key figures of the Black Dragonflight, and is an example of a very difficult and at the same time very interesting battle.

Unlike many other battles in heroic mode, which required only large numbers and dropped a solid RNG (random numbers generator - a random number generator, i.e. random selection of one or another aspect of the battle) on your heads, the battle with this boss required you personal responsibility. Recall at least Twilight Slashes, which were not tracked by the debuff or DBM "ohm (Deadly Boss Mods). You yourself had to follow the beam and kite it if it was on you, and run out of the way if it was on someone else At this time, the healers were playing with Confusion. Dispel it too early and it will spread so that it will be impossible to heal it; remove it too late and your target is dead. Oh, and do not forget about constantly resurrecting adds (additional mobs that summons the boss), which in some strange way appeared PvP earring, and about the super-speed buff... Combine everything into one boss and get an exciting battle.

Ragnaros, Firelands

The Lich King has never produced such an epic feel as Ragnaros has. When you kill him, you realize that you are fighting real evil and overcoming yourself in order to overcome his monstrous power. The boss fight tested all the qualities of your raid: healing, DPS, tanks, as well as accuracy, teamwork and patience. Unlike those simple bosses that rarely have more than two phases, Ragnaros had five. And even six, if you were one of those who managed to get to him in heroic mode, which many people described as " the most difficult battle in the history of the game". And not by chance ...

The only problem was the battle itself - it was just too epic. Each phase required special memorization, and excellent teamwork. Thus, each player in the raid had to thoroughly remember as many as 6 phases. After the wipe, it took you at least 10 minutes to get to the last phase; moreover, the level of complexity of each of them was clearly deliberately overestimated. Some Firelands nerf has of course fixed the issue and made the path to Ragnaros more accessible. However, the combat is still very difficult and you should definitely try it out before traveling to the misty lands.

It is also worth noting

Beti "varnish, Firelands. The battle had it all: divided groups working together to achieve a common goal, waves of trash and high demands on DPS. However, frequent bugs and similar problems pushed Mother of Fire Spiders out of the top 5.

Yor "saj, Dragon Soul. The color drops mechanic was the kind of random that you could prepare for. Unfortunately, the limited number of combinations made such a "random" very predictable and simple.

Want fast and easy gold? We, too! It doesn't matter if you fill the bank with gold or save up to pay for playing time (Hi, Tokens!), I think each of us will agree that money is not superfluous. And at the moment the most The best way earn a couple of extra coins - passing old raids.

These raids are a pretty easy way to make money and are especially suitable for those players who, like me, value their time. At the moment, taking into account the difficulty of passing and potential earnings, Cataclysm raids are of the greatest interest to us: a decent amount of gold drops from mobs, and personal items that drop from bosses can be sold for good price. In addition, there is a chance to get Embersilk or BoE (bind when worn) items - they can be sold at the auction. But there are so many raids and dungeons - where to go? In response to this question, we have compiled a small list of the most profitable Cataclysm raids.

Dragon Soul

This is by far the most difficult raid on our list, especially if you're going to take down Deathwing himself. However, it's worth it. If you are able to complete the dungeon in heroic mode for 25 people, you will leave the raid with expensive branded items from the best designers of Cataclysm - merchants will give good money for them. And you also got gold for killing the bosses themselves. The end result is a hefty sum.

As far as you know, the entrance to the Dragon Soul is not in the the best place, even in the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. And although many consider this a disadvantage, we believe that Mount Hyjal, the entrance to which is located a stone's throw from the entrance to the DD, can be quite a nice bonus: in addition to beautiful things for transmod, you can find battle pets there (and they, by the way, are in good demand at auction).

Blackwing Descent

Not only is Blackwing Descent very fast, but its entrance is located in Blackrock Mountain (outside, to be precise). This means that on the way home you can drop into the Molten Core or Blackwing Lair for junk to sell. In addition, these dungeons now also drop battle pets. For sale or collection, the choice is yours.

Bastion of Twilight

And our list is completed by the Bastion of Twilight. The entrance is located in the Twilight Highlands, high in the sky, on a spire (western part of the map). If you have time to complete any raid, then you should not even think about it, go to the Bastion of Twilight. While most dungeons can be completed in 10 minutes or more, Bastion can be completed in 2 times faster.

This raid is literally two rooms filled with 48 mobs. No need to go anywhere and look for anything - everything is in one place. Those 48 mobs that walk around the room are not very strong, so players with good equipment, as a rule, deal with the entire crowd at once. You can either clear the entire dungeon at once, or kill the mobs, exit the dungeon, restart it, and re-enter for some more fun. Don't forget to pick up and sell all the loot!

By the way, next to the Bastion is Grim Batol - a small dungeon designed for 5 players. On the way home, it would be wise to look there.
In conclusion, I would like to say that only the passage of these raids on the highest possible difficulty will pay you back for the time spent. You can either go through them with several characters, or several times (about 10 times per hour) perform the scheme described above alone (kill mobs, exit the raid, restart it, kill mobs again, and so on).

The era of the Cataclysm is coming to an end, and soon this addition, like all the previous ones, will be left behind. The Ragnaros, Deathwings and other villains are killed, and there will be nothing new in the Cataclysm.

We've done a little poll to find out what the 5 player Cataclysm Dungeon is most loved by players. As you know, there are 14 such dungeons in the current expansion: 9 saw the light of day with the release of the expansion, two appeared in patch 4.1 and three more in patch 4.3. The survey involved guys with characters of level 85 and who visited the named dungeons. Here's what we got in the end:

14th place : Shadowfang Keep(3 votes, 1.3%)

In Cataclysm, the dungeon has been updated and redesigned for level 85 players. Obviously, the players did not like the new look, only 3 people (1.3%) voted for Shadowfang Keep.

13th place : Throne of Tides (8 votes, 3.6%)

The only underwater dungeon since the Burning Crusade, obviously, not many people liked it. Despite the underwater beauty, only 8 people (3.6%) voted for the Throne of the Tides.

Paladin, Razuvius:
Because of the Vayshira quest chain, an interesting story, an interesting ending in heroics, and he is pleasant to pass.

12th place : End Times (10 votes, 4.4%)

The vision of a future in which the established leaders have lost heart is not appealing to many players. The end of time poll was the worst of the last three Cataclysm dungeons, with only 10 votes.

11th place:Halls of Creation (4.9%, 11 votes)

Created in the distant past by the titans themselves, the Halls of Creation were of interest not only to archaeologists, but also to Deathwing's minions. However, neither one nor the other did not get enough and the Halls of Creation received only 11 votes or 4.9%.

Druid, Eternal Song:
Definitely - the halls of creation! Egyptian themes have always fascinated me, and so have the hardy asshole Brann Bronzebeard. And given that Harrison Jones (well, Indy Jones, in fact) brought us there, then I generally fall into nostalgia, and, drooling, stare around. The only negative of this dungeon is the tanned Lord Rebrand, there can be as many titan aunts as you like, but Rebrand should be alone, but this is my personal IMHO.

10th place: Dead Mines (12 votes, 5.3%)

Another dungeon that got a second life in Cataclysm. Interesting mechanics of battles and a meeting with old "friends" were liked by every twentieth player surveyed. The result was only slightly better than Shadowfang Fortress. Apparently, updating old dungeons is not very good for developers.

Priestess, Galakrond:
Dead Mines - I really love this dungeon for interesting stories from Vanessa, unhackneyed and pleasant. Very well updated.

9th place: Twilight Time (13 votes, 5.8%)

Twilight Time, another of the last three Cataclysm dungeons, didn't rise very high and only finished in 11th place with 13 votes (5.8%).

Huntress, Eternal Song:
Time of Twilight, for sure! It has the coolest bosses! On Arcurion, you can calmly stand the whole battle, and answer the demands to get out of the puddle "I'm in chains!". On Azira, you can gobble up as much as you want, and shouting “Where is the DPS?” answer "In the smoke!". And Benedict in general can be pissed off while he chats, spamming emotions like /sexy :)

8th place: Lost City of the Tol'vir (15 votes, 6.7%)

The local Egyptian architecture and the location of the Neferset city in the open sun appealed to many heroes. In fact, unlike all these caves, ruins and ruins, the Lost City of the Tol'Vir looks amazing. 15 people voted for this dungeon.

Druid, Eternal Song:
I like it because there are no caves, no darkness, no closed space. And in the game plan there is quite an interesting position.

7th place: Zul'Aman (16 votes, 7.1%)

In 4.1 we saw another resurrection - this time of old raids. The classic Zul'Gurub raid and the Burning Crudade raid Zul'Aman (both 10-player) have been redesigned as 5-player dungeons. Players liked Zul'Aman a little less, but in general, his update was quite successful: according to the results of the poll, he ended up in the middle of the list with 16 votes (7.1%).

Druid, Soul Flayer:
Bullies, definitely. Voice acting, difficulty, dream of doing more than 15k dps in due time, controls, frog sticks, saving heals on a flipper with chains, cauldrons, running around on crazy bosses throwing bombs and breathing fire, additional bosses with interesting loot, missed scouts, time runs , thugs running after you, rolling stones, a fiery fence (hell, even the path without trash is interesting there) and at the end a holiday with drums.

6th place: Blackrock Caverns (17 votes, 7.6%)

The Realm of the Dragons and the Twilight's Hammer was voted the best Cataclysm dungeon by 17 players polled, placing the dungeon at #6.

Top 5 Cataclysm Dungeons

5th place: Stone bowels (20 votes, 8.9%)

The caves where the Twilight's Hammer cultists (again!) saved Deathwing by fixing his body with elementium plates were liked by many because of the difficulty of passing. In particular, many raiders voted for Stonecore, who were in awe of Ozrook before the nerfs.

Paladin, Bladefist:
Stone Core is a hard, fast dungeon. Nonstop something aoeshish, beat. Bosses one-shot, someone dies, resurrects, nonsense!

4th place: Source of Eternity (23 votes, 10.2%)

The third dungeon from add-on 4.3 "Twilight" took the fourth place, every tenth polled player voted for it. Most of the people we asked liked going back 10,000 years to the Well of Eternity, along with Illidan and Tyrande.

3rd place: Grim Batol (24 votes, 10.7%)

Another abode of the Twilight's Hammer appealed to the players for its complexity, majesty and beauty. 24 people voted for Grim Batol, which allowed him to take the third line of the rating.

Rogue, Eternal Song:
Always wanted to know what was going on in the ancient capital of the dwarves. And although the developers showed only a small part of this structure, it is not inferior to Ironforge in its epicness.

2nd place: ZulGurub (25 votes, 11.1%)

Zul'Gurub, added in patch 4.1, has achieved many better results than the congenial Zul'Aman. The quirky combat mechanics, open-air setting, and lush Troll architecture appealed to 25 players, placing Zul'Aman in second place in our poll.

Shaman, Dragonsea:
Zul'Gurub! A real city, under every bush someone lives. Boss voice acting, special effects, battle with Jin'Do. And the prequests (including the ones with the little lizard) are amazing. "What a miracle your voodoo is!" (c) Zanzil

1st place: Top of the tornado (28 votes, 12.4%)

The best dungeon of the Cataclysm, according to the results of the poll, was the Top of the Whirlwind. The gap from the second place is quite small - 3 votes, but it was enough to take the first place. Most of the respondents argued their choice precisely because of the extraordinary beauty of the dungeon.

Paladin, Bladefist:
The top of the Tornado is beautiful, bright, positive. At the same time, the monsters are vile, and the bosses are boring.

In addition, some of the respondents refused to name the best dungeon. Someone liked all the dungeons, someone, on the contrary, did not like anything. There were also some unexpected answers:

Hunter, level 85, Galakrond:
— IMHO, only Karazhan is worthy, but it was relevant and raidable for a long time.
— But… I'm talking about 5 ppl Cataclysm.
- I understood.

In general, it can be seen that the choice of players fell mainly on outwardly beautiful and difficult dungeons. If we consider the results in the context of patches, we see the following picture (clickable):

That is, the dungeons that we saw at the start of the Cataclysm were considered the best by more than half of the respondents (61.3%). On a per dungeon basis, each contributed approximately 6.8%. The same average for the dungeons of patch 4.3 "Twilight", but the total is three times less (20.4%). Dungeons of patch 4.1 - Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub turned out to be much more popular in this respect: 18.2% for two or 9.1% from each.

We hope you enjoyed our survey! To all those who participated - many thanks!
