Complete instructions: how to bring water from a well into the house?

Before bringing water from a well into the house, it is necessary to draw up a clear action plan, which includes several important steps. The work can be done by professionals or with your own hands. But before that, you need to familiarize yourself with the structure and features of water conduction.

The main element of the system, which will supply water to the house from the well, is the hydrophore pump. To avoid damage from temperature effects, it must be installed in special water booths or directly at home.

True, they will make quite a lot of noise. It is important to take into account the fact that the hose from this type of pump must be placed at a slope, otherwise the device will blow air.

There are submersible pumps that are lowered directly into the well. Their advantage is that they can supply water from a depth of 18 m, in contrast to the external one, which can handle a depth of 9 m. The disadvantage is the enormous high cost of these devices. For artesian sources, borehole devices can be installed that extract water from a depth of 100 m.

Each device must be accompanied by a technical passport, which indicates the purpose of the pump. However, all models of units are suitable for use at home. Much depends on the size and depth of the well, otherwise the pump will fail due to excessive or insufficient revolutions.

The list of necessary things that will be needed during the installation process includes the following items:

  1. Pipeline.
  2. Waterproof batteries.
  3. Check valve. This part is needed to ensure that the water flows in one direction and does not drain back into the well.
  4. A pressure switch, which is designed to control the required pressure in pipes. If the pressure is abnormal, the relay automatically turns off the pump.
  5. Cable for heating pipes in winter.
  6. Threaded and crimp fittings.
  7. Filters for coarse and fine cleaning.
  8. Taps for draining and closing the flow.

First stage of work

First of all, you need to dig a trench for pipes 1.5 m deep. If the region is in a warm climate zone, 0.5 m will be enough. Along with the water supply, there will be an electrical power cable for the structure.

At the same depth, using a perforator with a pobedit tip, you need to make a hole in the wall of the well in order to push the extension of the pipe there. As a rule, the diameter of the water supply does not exceed 100 mm, the standard is 32 mm. The cost of polypropylene conductors will average 36 rubles per 1 linear meter.

You should consider the installation location of the pump house. The most suitable location would be a cellar near a private house. In this case, the equipment will be isolated from noise, and underground conditions will not allow the pump to fail.

Second phase

After the hole in the well and the trench in the ground are ready, it is necessary to install pipes in them. One end of the receiver must be inserted into the well opening and bent in the direction of the water. There should be a distance of 30 to 35 cm from the pipe to the bottom. It is recommended to fix the water supply to the walls of the well using clips and clamps.

Then, on that part of the pipe that will be the transition between the external compartment of the water supply and the well, you need to install an assembly of a strainer and a valve. If desired, you can purchase corrugated pipes with a built-in valve.

Third stage

This procedure is intended for greater heat resistance and greater soil stability. You can insulate the well part of the pipes using ties made of cotton wool, foam rubber or polyethylene foam.

Fourth stage

The next step involves installing the equipment, that is, the pump. If you intend to install a device of an external operating principle, it requires a hard surface, preferably made of concrete. Bolts with a length of at least 100 mm must be installed in the floor, while 3 cm must stick out from the outside for fastening the bolts. It is also advisable to place rubber pads 3 mm thick under the pump.

A well pump, also known as a submersible pump, must be lowered to the bottom only with the help of a steel cable. It is necessary to inspect the bottom in advance, find the most stable position and place something heavy and hard under the device. Any distortions and tilts must be avoided to avoid damage.

It is worth paying attention that this device cannot be pressed tightly against the wall of the well. The distance from the pump to the wall must be at least 20 mm. Considering the fact that the pump is in the water, and the electrical cable will be located at the bottom, you will have to drill another hole in the wall of the well. For reliable waterproofing, transition areas should be reinforced with couplings.

The pump placed in the house is not much different from the one mounted in special booths. However, in home systems you need to carefully monitor the water level in the storage tank.

In the event of a sudden drop in pressure, the device automatically turns off. To make operation easier, it is recommended to install a receiver on the device. Sometimes these parts are sold complete with pumps. There is another way of stabilization - install a supply line to each individual water supply point.

Distributing water from a well to a home must take into account several important factors. Not all of them can be specified in the instructions, but they can greatly facilitate the operation of the system. The choice of device for supplying water must be carried out taking into account the distance from the house: the longer the distance, the more powerful the device should be.

When installing a pipe inside a well, it is worth taking into account that 4 m of horizontal water supply is equal to 1 m of vertical water supply. When laying pipes, it is necessary to understand when and for what purposes a water supply system from a well is installed.

If you intend to use it in the country, you can place the pipes on the ground. In this case, they can be emptied and left for the winter without frost damaging them. Burying the water supply system in the ground is necessary in conditions of frequent use in private homes.

The number of connection points should not be ignored. All of them must be from the same manufacturer, otherwise incompatibility of the devices may lead to the fact that the water will not reach the middle of the well pipe.

Such simple rules and recommendations will help you quickly and easily lay a pipeline. Working strictly step by step, using high-quality materials, the master will be able to lay a pipeline that will be successfully operated for more than 1 year.
