Tincture recipes. Alcohol tincture of propolis, use inside Propolis alcohol instruction

This is bee glue, i.e. a substance produced by worker bees.

Propolis performs certain functions in the hive:

    closes the cracks;

    if necessary, closes the entrance - a taphole;

    closes the honeycomb with "caps" -;

    disinfects cells, maintains sterility in the hive;

    envelops foreign, potentially dangerous objects that fall into the hive.

Propolis is capable of sticking particles together, because bees create it from sticky substances collected in spring from the buds of black poplar, alder, warty birch, aspen and other trees. Insects additionally process this "harvest" with their own enzymes. Scientists still cannot accurately establish the mechanism for the production of propolis.

Bee glue has a very complex chemical composition. It includes 16 classes of organic substances! Perhaps this is the reason for such a variety of properties of this beekeeping product. It consists of various resins, oils, alcohols, proteins, as well as wax, pollen, vitamins, sugar and other ingredients.

Propolis is an unusual substance in its preparation method, composition, and has extraordinary properties.

Useful and medicinal properties of propolis

Propolis is a poorly studied substance, so the whole spectrum of its action has not yet been clarified.

Propolis has the following beneficial properties:

    Disinfectants

    Antibacterial

    Antitoxic

    Anti-inflammatory

    Thermoplastic

    Antioxidant

    Immunomodulating

Disinfection - the destruction of infectious agents and the destruction of toxins. Propolis inhibits activity and kills bacteria and viruses, slows down the growth of some of them. In addition, this honey product neutralizes the poisons that decaying cells release, accelerates the processes of regeneration and healing. There is a debate about the anesthetic effect of bee glue. There is no scientific confirmation of this effect yet.

Propolis has a unique quality - even after processing at high temperatures, it does not change its properties. This allows the manufacture of a wide variety of propolis-containing products. The tincture always contains alcohol, and is called so because it is infused, "soaked" without heating for some time. Propolis is difficult to use in its original form, because it is quite dense and only becomes soft when heated. Only alcohol-containing solutions can "soak" it. They allow you to achieve maximum extraction of nutrients.

  • How to chew propolis properly?

    It is important to respect the dosage. This is usually a few grams per day, but they cannot be taken immediately. You need to start with a drop, carefully monitoring your well-being. The procedure should last no more than 20 minutes, otherwise the mucous membranes of the oral cavity can be burned. For some diseases, it is allowed to repeat it several times during the day, and with sore throat, even all day long. We must not forget, however, that jokes are bad with this potent remedy.

    After a few weeks of such procedures, diseases and teeth should disappear. During pregnancy, the dosage should be reduced to 1-2 g every other day. Children should be tested for an allergic reaction before taking propolis. It can be done at home. A small piece of propolis is briefly applied to the inside of the elbow bend. If there is no redness or itching, too.

    Propolis treatment, recipes

    The uniqueness of this medicine is that a wide variety of preparations are made from it: tinctures, water extracts, ointments, pastes, creams, oils, tablets, sprays, suppositories, masks, it can be used for inhalation, compresses, rinses. Uzu is used even in its original form - it is chewed.

    There are many recipes for preparing propolis compositions, but there is no organization that would issue them a safety certificate. Even if the recipe is correct and effective, no one can vouch for the quality of the ingredients that ordinary people use. It is important not to be lazy and to cleanse propolis from unnecessary impurities before making a medicine. This will stretch the cooking procedure, but it will improve the quality of the final product. Pure bee glue is softer.

Among the popular recipes for beauty and health, you can find many highly effective ones that really help people cope with many diseases. A separate milestone in the history of quackery is treatment with the use of bee products. Use honey, honeycomb partitions, bee venom. The most effective remedies include propolis, a substance with unique properties.

Propolis is a bioactive beekeeping product. It can be used for treatment in its pure form. But folk healers advise to master the ability to make alcoholic tinctures, they are the most effective. And how to make propolis tincture on vodka at home, what is needed for this and how to correctly use the medicine?

Propolis tincture on vodka can be easily made at home

This substance is essentially bee glue (or "uzoi"). For the life of the bee family, this substance plays a very important role.... Specifically with the bee bond:

  1. The entrance is blocked for the winter.
  2. The honeycomb is processed before laying the eggs.
  3. A foreign object that has accidentally entered the hive is disinfected so that it does not become the cause of infection of the bee family.
  4. The cracks and cracks in the wooden hive are sealed. In this way, insects achieve the preservation of an optimally comfortable temperature in the dwelling, which prevents the appearance of possible drafts.

Propolis plays a huge role in the life of bees

Without propolis, life in a hive would be simply impossible. And it is this beekeeping product that is the most valuable and healing. Such increased attention is easily explained. After all, this substance has a large number of useful compounds. In particular:

  • 50% organic acids, esters and flavonoids;
  • 30% wax compounds;
  • 10% aromatic and essential oils;
  • 5% pollen.

The unique and beneficial properties of propolis have not yet been fully studied; large-scale studies of this bioactive substance are also being carried out by modern scientists.

Due to the uniqueness and balance of the composition, propolis is considered a highly valuable material. Bee glue is especially effective against viruses, fungi and bacteria. Medicines made on the basis of propolis are actively used not only in folk but also in classical medicine. It has already been established that propolis is a powerful immunostimulant, anti-inflammatory agent and disinfectant.

Why is vodka tincture useful?

Before you start making this miracle remedy, you should find out what propolis with vodka helps from. A variety of effective products are created from bee glue: extracts, essences, gels, ointments, pastes and creams. But according to the healers, the most effective is the propolis tincture on vodka, the recipe and application of which is easy to carry out at home.

Propolis is actively used in traditional therapy.

Among the unhealthy situations and pathological conditions that the medicine successfully copes with, the following can be distinguished:

  • inflammation of the joints;
  • genitourinary diseases;
  • fight against fungal infections;
  • deterioration of the nervous system;
  • restoration of hormonal imbalance;
  • problems with the circulatory and heart system;
  • infections of the digestive tract and digestive system;
  • violations of the functioning of the reproductive system;
  • prevention and arrest of the growth of malignant cells;
  • neutralization of toxic compounds in the body, cleaning from the poisons of internal systems.

In addition to healing and therapeutic therapy, propolis tincture can be taken as an anesthetic, antiseptic. For example, with toothaches (a cotton swab is soaked in the drug and placed on the affected area). Propolis is also good for preventing seasonal colds.

Features of alcohol medicine

To prepare a medicinal product based on bee glue, you can use rubbing alcohol. If it is not at hand, moonshine, vodka of good quality, is also successfully used. It should be remembered that preparation of a medicine with alcohol requires more time (in comparison with infusion with water). But such a tool will also be stored much longer.

Propolis is effective in a wide variety of cases

Propolis prepared with alcohol should not be taken undiluted for treatment - in such a situation it can cause severe burns to the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and larynx. It is forbidden to use alcohol tincture in the following cases:

  • childhood;
  • diseases of the biliary tract;
  • stone renal pathology;
  • with severe pathologies of the liver and kidneys;
  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • allergies to bee products and ethanol.

Experts advise using vodka to make propolis tincture on your own. These recipes are easier to follow. And the final product will be less concentrated, and therefore easier to use.

The quality of raw materials is the main condition

But before learning how to prepare propolis tincture with vodka at home, it is worth preparing the main ingredient of the infusion - bee glue. It needs only the highest quality and freshest. Of course, it is not difficult for the owners of their own apiaries, otherwise you can go on a visit to a beekeeping fair or market.

Propolis is a rather high cost product, one of the most valuable. For this reason, it is often counterfeited or various extraneous ingredients are added to increase weight.

Bees collect and produce propolis from spring buds of trees.

In order not to make a mistake in choosing and purchase the freshest and highest quality product, you should pay attention (when buying) to a number of certain nuances. Namely:

  1. Color. In high-quality bee glue, the color can vary from dark ocher to deep brown with a noticeable admixture of green.
  2. Aroma. Good propolis smells good with young tree buds. The smell is slightly tart and gives off thick honey.
  3. Density. Be sure to feel the purchased glue in your hands. It is better to stock up on such propolis, which, when pressed, feels plastic and elastic, and after pressing, fingers leave visible marks. This is indicative of a fresh glue, with prolonged storage it loses its elasticity and most of its useful qualities.
  4. Taste. Try chewing on a small piece of the substance. When chewing, bitterness should be felt, and after a while - a tangible burning sensation.

When shopping, also rub a piece of propolis between your fingers. It is better to refuse to purchase the product if after this procedure any inclusions remain on the fingers or a distinct chemical odor is felt. And, of course, it is better to buy propolis from a trusted and familiar beekeeper.

How to insist propolis on vodka: a recipe

Before proceeding directly to the cooking process itself, bee glue should be prepared. That is, to completely remove all extraneous and unnecessary impurities from the raw materials. To do this, the product is frozen for 3-4 hours, and then rubbed into fine shavings using a grater. The resulting mass must be poured with chilled (ideally ice) water and left for 10-15 minutes.

This time is enough for a good, high-quality product to sink to the bottom. It must be used to prepare the medicine. The rest of the water with floating particles, flakes, impurities can be poured out - it is not needed. The propolis shavings are dried (preferably in the fresh air) and the preparation of the drug is started.

The most important thing when making a tincture is to use good and high-quality raw materials.

First cooking method (fast)

  1. Warm up vodka (only of good quality) in a water bath to + 45–50⁰С.
  2. Without removing it from warming up, carefully add the prepared propolis at the rate of 100 g of raw material per 500 ml of alcohol.
  3. We warm the product until the bee glue is completely dissolved, remembering to stir it regularly. Remember that the mass should not be brought to a boil.
  4. As soon as all the propolis has dissolved, remove the product from the heat and filter it through cotton pads or gauze folded in several layers.
  5. Cool the finished medicine to the usual room temperature and carefully pour it into bottles. It is better to store the medicine in a cool place in vessels made of dark opaque glass.

Second cooking method (long)

  1. Mix immediately (without heating) in a dark glass container vodka and prepared propolis in the same proportion (100 g of bee glue for half a liter of alcohol).
  2. Close the jar (or bottle) tightly and store in a cool and dark place.
  3. The mass is infused for 2–2.5 weeks, while the tincture must be shaken every day.
  4. Filter the finished medicine and pour it into opaque bottles.

The third cooking method (on calamus)

  1. Mix one chopped calamus root and propolis (80 g).
  2. Heat the mass in a water bath until the wax particles dissolve (about half an hour). When warming up, the mass should be constantly stirred.
  3. Add vodka (in this recipe it is better to use moonshine) in the amount of a liter.
  4. Pour the medicine into an opaque glass container and send for infusion. Store the drug in a dark but warm place.
  5. During the entire exposure period (it is about 15 days), the mass must be constantly mixed. It is better to do this 5-6 times a day.
  6. Filter the finished drug and bottle. Store it in a cool place.

Homemade propolis and vodka tincture can be successfully stored for 2.5–3 years. But experts advise not to store it for so long and make it fresh every year.... Well, if for some reason it was not possible to prepare the tincture on your own, it can be purchased ready-made - at any pharmacy.

How to use it wisely

Propolis tincture can be used both internally and externally. When using the medicine internally, you should drink the tincture diluted in pure water (10-50 drops per 200 ml of water). The volume depends on the initial condition and the severity of the disease.

Propolis tincture should be taken depending on the underlying disease

When treating with the external method, the drug can be used in pure (undiluted) form in the following ways:

  • irrigation;
  • compresses;
  • rinsing;
  • rubbing;
  • wet dressings.

The way propolis tincture is used internally and externally may vary slightly. It depends on the nuances of the disease. For instance:

  1. With stomach ulcers. Dissolve 20-30 drops of tincture in milk (200 ml) and drink three times a day. The medicine is taken 1.5 hours after eating.
  2. With osteochondrosis. Compresses are used (experts advise using an infusion with the inclusion of calamus root in the ingredients). It is better not to use pure tincture for such a diagnosis, but to dilute it with water by 1/3 (this is especially true for the treatment of elderly patients).
  3. With angina. The tincture is used as a gargle or irrigation of a sore throat. To prepare the solution, dissolve 10-15 ml of infusion in water (200 ml). Rinse or irrigate 2-3 times daily.

Let's summarize

Bee glue is a unique creation of hardworking bees that will help a person quickly cope with a wide variety of diseases. Healing potion can be easily made on your own. But do not forget about the existing contraindications. And in any case, before starting therapy, you should obtain permission for such treatment from your doctor.

And if itching, coughing, edema, red spots on the skin and a rash appear during the intake, therapy should be stopped immediately. Such symptoms indicate an allergy that has appeared. Therefore, in this case, you should opt for proven medications.

Attention! Alcohol tincture fully retains all its useful qualities, both when completely frozen and when heated strongly. In the latter case, propolis gives up all its beneficial substances to the liquid.

Alcohol tincture based on this beekeeping product is used not only internally, but also used for rubbing and compresses. In both applications, it has proven to be highly effective in practice.

How to do it at home

In finished form, this tool is sold in many pharmacies.

But you can easily prepare it yourself at home - how to properly insist propolis on alcohol is described below.

This will require:

  1. Pure medical alcohol - 1 liter.
  2. Propolis - 100 g. Preference should be given to the freshest beekeeping product. It is in it that the concentration of nutrients will be highest.
  3. Sterile dark glass container with a volume of one and a half liters.

Propolis is perfectly soluble in alcohol. But in order to speed up this process, it must first be crushed.

The easiest way is to put it in the freezer for 8-16 hours, and after freezing, grate it on a medium grater.

In order to cleanse the propolis from impurities, it must be placed in a wide bowl and filled with cold water. A pure beekeeping product will remain at the bottom of the container, and all excess debris will collect on the surface of the liquid, after removal, which propolis can be used further.

The resulting shavings are poured into a bottle, filled with alcohol and everything is well mixed.

You can simply shake the contents of the bottle, or you can stir the liquid with a wooden spatula.

After this period, the propolis tincture on alcohol is considered ready. Store it in a cool, dark place. The maximum shelf life is 36 months.

Reference! Alcohol must have a strength of 70 degrees, alcoholic beverages 96% are not suitable. The tincture turns out to be too harsh and it is categorically impossible to use it internally.

High-quality vodka can replace alcohol. For 100 g of propolis, you will need about 700 ml.

Strain the resulting healing liquid through cheesecloth immediately before use.

Propolis is of the utmost importance to bees as it ensures cleanliness, sterility and a "healthy atmosphere" in the hive. It protects the bee house from harmful external influences and mercilessly destroys various types of viruses, bacteria and even some of the fungi. In a similar way, propolis can act on the human body. Due to its unique properties, this substance is able to cope with a variety of both internal and external diseases. However, in order to achieve a positive effect, it must be applied correctly.
To solve various problems with the body, dry propolis is used quite rarely, most often treatment occurs with the help of products prepared from it. One of these means is propolis tincture on alcohol - it is about it that we will talk about today.

Why is propolis alcohol tincture useful?

For treatment, alcoholic tinctures with different concentrations are used. It can be from 5 to 40 percent. Naturally, the higher the concentration of the tincture, the more pronounced the therapeutic effect will be from it. However, it is better to refuse the use of too concentrated products, nevertheless, because they have a great irritating effect on the tissues. To prepare such a tincture, place 15 grams of propolis in the refrigerator. When it hardens well, remove and then chop into pieces no more than 4 millimeters. It is convenient to do this with a grater. Please note that the less particles come out of you, the more active substances propolis will give to alcohol.
After grinding, place the propolis in a bottle, preferably made of dark glass, and then fill it with 85 milliliters of 70% alcohol. Close tightly and shake well to ensure that all particles come into contact with the liquid. Place the bottle in a well-protected, dark place. Take out and shake the propolis bottle twice a day for one to one and a half weeks. When the infusion time comes to an end, strain the product, this can be done through special filter paper or folded gauze. Store the tincture in a cool, dark place. Subject to these conditions, its shelf life can be up to three years.
To prepare a product with a concentration of 5%, it is recommended to mix 95 milliliters of alcohol with 5 grams of propolis, 10% - 90 milliliters of alcohol with 10 grams of propolis, 20% - 80 milliliters of alcohol with 20 grams of propolis, etc.
To get a really good, high-quality propolis tincture at home, it is recommended to use raw materials purified from impurities. If you could not find one, the proportion of impurities should be taken into account when preparing the product. To do this, you need to increase the amount of propolis by about 30-40%.
