How to get the achievement balance of forces wow. Guide to artifacts in the WOW Legion. How to open skins

Artifact skins

The artifact system will not work after the Legion, however, you can use all of your open artifact skins as models for transmogrification. This applies to everything you have earned (colors, models). The artifacts themselves will be "removed" from the game, at the end of this add-on we will have a beautiful farewell scene, during which we will give up our artifacts for the sake of a brighter future. However, during “Battle for Azeroth” you will be able to return to your class hall and the artifact function will work exactly as it does now. Many people ask the question - how can I open this or that appearance of the artifact after the Legion? How can I get all this? It's simple - nothing will change. Except for one thing. Skins of Zi Trial in the Tower of Mages will not be available in the next expansion, that is, immediately after the end of the Legion. You probably want to unlock all of them, for each specialization, but, let me remind you, there are 36 specializations in the game. And this, you know, is a rather serious challenge, especially if you do not have all the upgraded classes. Another thing that you cannot get after the end of the Legion is the artifact tint for completing the Mythic Key +15. This achievement will no longer be available. It is worth recalling that at the moment this achievement is tied to a specific character, and not to the entire account. So if you have nothing to do, you can set yourself a goal - to get as many artifacts as possible for the tower of magicians and close the +15 key. If you are thinking about changing the main character for the next addon - it's time to start doing some things in this direction.

Balance of power

Balance of Power is a long questline that started at the very beginning of the Legion. Of course, this quest will not disappear anywhere and will be available after the Legion. But now you should start going through these tasks, because then it will be simply difficult to find a group for passing. And unlocking the colors, as I said, is also difficult (for example, one of the colors, just for the epoch-making key +15).

PvP skins

We do not yet know 100% how the skins that are obtained for achieving certain successes in PvP will work. Now everything looks as if nothing will change, because everything is tied to the levels of prestige. Probably, in this regard, you can be calm, but you can start farming prestige right now - the last coloring opens at level 15.

Secret Skins

Continuing the topic of artifacts, I must say that everyone has secret skins, yes, of course, you can unlock them after the Legion, but, you know, most often you need to do small tasks there, so it's better to do this before the next add-on, it will just be really laziness. In addition, many of the secret skins are unlocked after killing a certain world boss, and they have a rotation schedule, so, you know, it's better not to be late with this, otherwise you'll end up on a “reset” of the schedule later.

Main character

And so, I strongly advise you to get involved in choosing your main character, which you will play in the next add-on. I would not advise you to do this if the next addon was “Warlords of Draenor”, as we went through a big class redesign back then, but this time we are not expecting any major redesigns. Only a few of them will be reworked. The biggest redesign awaits Demonology Warlocks and Survival Hunters. The developers said that they are too unhappy with the way these classes look now. Otherwise, the basic principles of the game will remain, so you can safely choose your new class, if, of course, you think about it at all. Do not forget that all the abilities of artifacts will be reworked in one way or another. Many of them will disappear and others will go on as talents. So I advise you one thing - try as many classes as possible and decide for yourself one thing: who to play in the next addon? You don't have to rush, you have about 9 months left. You can safely do this now, because, to be honest, not quite a lot of new things for end-content appeared with the release of 7.3.5, and if you have already closed Antorus, then, in fact, there is nothing more to do. In addition, now there is a scaling technology for old locations, so everything is favorable for this. You just need to get 34-40 character level in order to understand the basis of its mechanics - then you can already answer yourself the question “did I like this class”?

Allied Races

The next thing I would advise you to do before Battle for Azeroth comes out is to get busy reaching all the conditions for unlocking allied races. One of the main conditions, of course, is to buy the addon itself, but there are several other conditions. For example, to unlock the Highmountain Tauren, you will need to complete the storyline achievement and exalted with that race. So, it's easy to assume that you need to get exalted with other factions as well - the Defenders of Argus, the Army of the Light and, of course, the darkened ones. And also complete all the story missions associated with these factions (including the "Rebellion" achievement in Suramar). Of course, if you play Legion from the start, then you will not have any problems - this is obvious, because you, most likely, have already completed these points.

Mounts

The next are the mounts from the raids. If you are able to close the Mythic Antorus mode, then, of course, do it, now getting a mount from Argus in this mode is 100%, however, after the release of “Battle for Azeroth” the chance will be reduced to 1%. But if you do not have such an opportunity, then go through Antorus at least in heroic mode, this will guarantee you a mountable pet that will be unavailable after the end of the Legion. Also, you can farm pets from some bosses, for example, from the "Hounds of Sargeras" or "Lady Sanshjin", from which interesting mounts fall.

Focus on interesting things, it's time to get ready for Battle for Azeroth! Good luck!

In this guide we will tell you all about Legion artifacts in World of Warcraft... We will give detailed information about the talents and relics of artifacts, their appearance, power and knowledge of the artifact in WOW.

Artifacts are unique weapons for each specialization added to the Legion. The power of such weapons grows as the player progresses through the plot of the supplement.

Note: made some changes to the artifact system. Main: new talents have appeared and new artifact skins have become available. For minor changes, read the 7.2 patch guide (section on artifacts).

What you need to know about artifacts in WoW

Basic information:

  • There is an artifact for each specialization of each class - thus, there are a total of 36 combat artifacts in the Legion. It is a weapon of exceptional power.
  • The 37th artifact associated with fishing is a fishing rod for anglers.
  • To obtain the artifact, you must complete the quest chain for your specialization. During the quests, you will learn a lot of information about the famous representatives of your class.
  • The artifact is your character's main weapon in the Legion. No weapon is stronger.
  • Artifact Traits / Talents - Improve your class's abilities.
  • Relics are items that can be inserted into an artifact to enhance certain talents and increase the overall level of the item (and, accordingly, its characteristics).
  • The power of the artifact grows as the Power of the artifact is gained. This unlocks new available talents and relics.
  • Artifact Knowledge is a special system that allows players to obtain artifacts for the second and third specializations faster.
  • All artifacts for your class can be obtained through the campaign in the class hall.
  • Artifacts come in different styles and colors that can be unlocked by performing certain actions. An artifact can be transmogged into another weapon (see the Legion Transmog Guide), but you cannot give a weapon the appearance of an artifact.

Artifact Power in WOW Legion

Artifact talents can be pumped using the Power of the artifact. At the same time, the Power of an artifact is not a currency (you cannot accumulate and spend), but rather resembles experience: by receiving the Power of an artifact, you unlock new talents in the talent tree of your weapon.

The current amount of available Artifact Power is displayed above the bar of experience. By hovering over it, you will see how many units of the Artifact's Power you lack until the next talent is unlocked.

The power of an artifact in the Legion can be obtained through the use of consumables, such as a Glass of Dalaran Wine or A Brief History of Ages.

Items that give the Power of an artifact can be obtained in different ways:

  • Search for treasures;
  • Missions in the class hall;
  • PvP victories on battlefields and arenas;
  • Completing major quests or world quests;
  • Chests for completing a series of local quests (for 4 tasks for one faction);
  • Additional objectives and bonus tasks in the open world;
  • Drop from rarniks, bosses in dungeons and Legion raids, world bosses;
  • Completing random dungeons on normal and heroic difficulty;

Good video about the Power of the artifact:

When you get one of these items, click on it to add Strength to the artifact currently equipped on the character.

  • If you want to add the Power of an artifact to a weapon in your inventory (an artifact for your other specialization), you first need to equip this artifact, and only then use a consumable item.
  • The strength of artifacts is calculated separately for each weapon. That is, if you added 10,000 units of artifact power to the current artifact, this will not affect the weapons for your other specializations in any way.

The amount of Artifact Power gained from such consumables, can be increased with the Knowledge of the artifact... More details about this are written in the corresponding section of our guide.

Each time you spend Strength on pumping an artifact's talents, the cost of unlocking subsequent talents increases significantly. To pump the first talent, you need 100 units of Strength, and then this number can go up to 5,000,000.

Artifact talents (features)

Features (or talents) of an artifact - these are special skills that open as the artifact is pumped... To learn each talent, you need Artifact power, and as you pump more talents on one weapon, subsequent talents require more and more Artifact Power.

Each artifact weapon has one free talent (the very first one), which does not require resources to level up and gives you a powerful class ability. Usually the ability from the first talent is active and appears on your ability bar, but for some classes and specializations it can be passive.

Relic Effect # 1: Item Level Up

Each relic has a specific item level - in beta it ranged from 670 to 895.

  • The higher the level of the relic, the more levels of the item it will add to the artifact.
    • For example, Soul Fibrill (lvl. 805, craft) will add +31 ilvl to the weapon, and the Shimmering Spark of Time (lvl. 850, drop in raids) will add +43 ilvl.
    • Relics dropped in dungeons, raids and from world bosses, when dropped, have a chance to get an improvement by +5 item levels. Taking into account all difficulty options, the maximum item level for such relics is 895.
  • The starting level of all artifacts is 750, and each relic inserted into the socket increases this level. The maximum artifact level that can be overclocked in T19 content is 918(with three improved level 895 relics).

Relics can be inserted into your artifact to increase the item level. Each relic also allows you to increase the rank of one artifact trait.

The table below shows the levels of relics, depending on the source of receipt:

A source Level Level boost Remarks
Common Quests and World Quests 670-815 + 2-33 ilvls Quest rewards are scaled to the player's level when they turn in the quest.
World quest rewards are level 805+ (can be propelled by improved ones)
Normals 700-805+* + 2-31 ilvls The item level depends on the character level at the time of killing the monster / boss.
Craft 805 +31 ilvls Crafting relics cannot be upgraded with Obliterium like other crafting items.
Heroics 825+* +36 ilvls
Raids (LFR) 835+* +39 ilvls
Mythic dungeons 840+* +40 ilvls
Raids (normals) 850+* +43 ilvls
World bosses 860+* +46 ilvls
Raids (heroic) 865+* +48 ilvls
Raids (Mythic) 880+* +52 ilvls
Maximum level 895 +56 ilvls

* Relics marked with an asterisk can be randomly upgraded when dropped. In the table from this guide, the minimum item level is indicated for them.

Relic Effect # 2: Bonus Ranks for Talents

Each relic enhances a specific talent of the artifact. On the web, a list of such talents can be viewed by selecting the "Improves" tab on the relics page. Thus, if you want to enhance a certain talent on an artifact, you need to look for special relics.

  • The relic immediately grants an additional rank and increases it. If it was 0/3, it becomes 1/4.
  • Relics do not allow you to cheat the talent system: if a relic turned a 0/1 talent into 1/2, you still need to pump one rank to advance further up the talent tree.
  • One talent can be maxed out to rank 6/6. In this case, all three relics in the artifact slots must improve one talent.

How to get an artifact in WoW Legion

The first artifact in the Legion can be obtained already at level 100.

All classes receive their artifact through the introductory quest chain. In this case, you will need to use the unique abilities of your specialization.

For example, the Survival hunters will actively use traps, and the Assassination branch robbers will move around Stormwind in Stealth mode.

At the end of the missions, you gain access to the class hall, and you will also learn how to manage the artifact and the command table for missions in the hall.

Getting the second, third, fourth artifact

Reaching level 102, your character will be able to receive artifacts for all the specs of your class. For most, these are 3 artifacts, for Demon Hunters - 2, for Druids - 4.

To get the second artifact, you need to return to your class hall and take the task of choosing an artifact. The game will then prompt you to complete the quest chain for this weapon.

After obtaining the second artifact, the chain for obtaining the third (and then, for the druids - the fourth) will become available.

The video of the chains for obtaining the artifact can be viewed at Youtube.

Note:

  • The chain for each artifact was created taking into account the specialization: the heals will need to heal the group, the tanks will need to take over the monsters, and the dd will need to complete standard quests for collecting items / killing monsters.
  • During the course of the chain, you can change the specialization. That is, you can make a chain for a healer in dd spec if you kill all opponents before they destroy your group. However, this will not be the easiest task.
  • If you have multiple artifacts, they will be automatically equipped when you change specialization. You cannot equip an artifact that does not match your current specialization.
  • Artifacts cannot be destroyed. Remember that each received artifact will always occupy one slot in the inventory.
  • Obtaining all artifacts available for your class is rewarded with the achievement Impressive arsenal .

Knowledge of the artifact

Knowledge of an artifact serves to increase the Power of artifacts that you get from items over time.

  • Knowledge of the artifact becomes available at 110 level. You will receive two tasks related to order fulfillment:
    • Hidden History - Recover 4 volumes of knowledge scattered across Azeroth.
    • Digging in books - to complete a work order.
  • Once both tasks are completed, you can continue to fulfill orders to obtain Artifact Data, which will increase your Artifact Knowledge level.
  • At the start of the Legion it takes 5 days to complete one order for Artifact Data... However, in the new add-on, a special system will be implemented that will count the number of days from the launch of the Legion, and based on this number, reduce the lead time to 4 days, 3 days, and so on.
    • This system is designed for violas and those who start playing much later than the Legion's release date.
  • Each Legion Artifact Notes order will cost 500 Order Resources (see Where to get Order Class Resources in the Legion).

1.1. Main color: available by default.

1.2 Color # 2: Return one of the Pillars of Creation.

You can get one Pillar of Creation through the quest chain in each of the Legion's locations. Below is a list of the pillars, the final quests to obtain them and the corresponding locations:

2.4. Color # 4: Complete the achievement This side up .

The only artifact coloration associated with Archeology. To obtain it, you need to collect 8 rare archaeological projects in the Legion.

Please note that rare finds in Legion are mined differently from other expansions. Every two weeks, the Archeology trainer (Dariness the Knowledgeable) will have a task, as a reward for which you will be offered a rare project. To complete the quests with the Archeology teacher, level 110 is required.

3. Valorous kind

3.1. Main Paint: Complete the Balance of Power questline.

This is a fairly long chain that starts at level 110 in your class hall and has many stages. Among other things, you will need to bring 30 pieces of Blood of Sargeras (read How to Get Blood of Sargeras in WOW), complete several heroic dungeons and get items from the Emerald Nightmare raid.

3.2. Color # 2: Complete the achievement Freed monsters .

To earn the achievement, you need to kill 8 out of 10 Legion World Bosses in the Broken Isles.

3.3. Color # 3: Complete the Challenge Mode dungeon using the Level 15 Key.

To unlock this skin, you must complete a Mythic dungeon on difficulty 15. You can use both your own key and someone else's.

3.4 Color # 4: Complete the achievement Glory of the Legion Hero .

This meta-achievement requires 26 achievements in 10 Legion dungeons on Mythic difficulty. The achievement is shared per account, and so is the given appearance for the artifact.

6. Sixth appearance (one of the Legion patches)

About the methods of obtaining the sixth version of the appearance for the Legion artifacts, nothing is yet known. Information will appear closer to one of the next patches (7.1, 7.2, etc.)

All options for the appearance of artifacts for each class and specialization can be found in the artifact calculator on the wwhead (in the "Appearance" tab).

Hidden effects of Legion artifacts

Artifacts in the Legion can have various hidden effects.

Here's what one of the developers of the WOW Legion said about it:

"When dealing with such powerful items as some of the artifacts that players will receive in the Legion, nobody knows what mysterious things might happen."

There are several speculations about what might be the hidden effects of artifacts in the Legion:

  • Hunter Swiftness, Feral Druid: The Claws of Asheshide are infused with the blood of beasts, granting 3% movement speed. The effect dissipates when the druid enters the battle.
  • Valkyra's Gaze, Fury Var: If a warrior kills an enemy within 8 seconds after the effect is triggered, he restores 50% of his health.
  • Ashbringer Retrie Paladin: There is a chance that Ashbringer will instantly kill a small demon or undead near the character.
  • Call eagles, hunter: when the hunter's health falls below 40%, an eagle comes to his aid for 10 seconds; works no more than once every three minutes.

Some artifacts can talk to their owners (for example, Alunet for the arcane magician or the Skull of Man'ari for the warlock), and they will whisper something more than once during adventures around the world.

Video of the hidden effect Valkyra's Gaze (furry var):

Cosmetic effects

There are also some cosmetic effects associated with artifacts in the game:

  • Paladins can see demons in Dalaran with Revealing Light.
  • The air elementals in the Stormheim location are friendly to the Elemental shamans.
  • Some classes have special animations for the "Away" status (frost dk, druids and healing shamans).
  • Some NPCs react to a character with an artifact. For example, an elven blacksmith in Dalaran admires Felo'Melorn (an artifact of the fire mages).

Artifact Frequently Asked Questions

This section of the artifact guide contains the most frequently asked questions about the main weapons of the Legion.

1. How much space does the artifact take up in the bag?

Two-handed artifacts obviously take up one slot. But, interestingly, double artifacts (for example, Fist + Shield) also take up only one place in the bag. Agree, this is a nice space saving, especially if you collect artifacts for several specializations.

2. How does transmogrification work with artifacts?

You can transmog an artifact into another weapon, but you cannot transfer the appearance of an artifact to another weapon. For different parts of the artifact (for example, daggers for the right and left hand), you can use different transmogrification.

3. Can I change talents, relics or the appearance of an artifact anywhere?

Relics can be inserted into weapons anywhere. To change the appearance and activate new talents (ranks), you need to be near a special mountain in your class hall. To redistribute the talents on the artifact, you need to talk to the NPC, which is located next to the forge in the class hall.

4. What if I chose the wrong artifact, sold an old weapon and want to level up to level 102 in a different spec?

Your class hall quartermaster sells level 740 weapons, off-hands, and shields for 100 gold each. You can purchase them as a replacement for an artifact until you reach level 102.

5. Can an artifact be destroyed in WoW?

After completing the quest chain and obtaining an artifact, you can neither destroy it nor sell it to a merchant.

6. How can I see the leveling of artifact talents from other players?

In the standard interface of World of Warcraft, you cannot see the layout of the artifact's talents for other characters, but you can see the level of the item.

7. Will it be possible to use the received skins of artifacts for transmogrification after the Legion?

Most likely, yes - all options for the appearance of artifacts can be transmogrified after the Legion (in the next expansion). In this case, it is implied that skins can be unlocked during the Legion, but after the expansion they will not be obtained. This also applies to the new forms of the druid (the appearance of the Cat and the Bear changes from an artifact).

8. Can you use artifacts in PvP?

Artifacts and their effects can be used in all PvP situations: arenas, battlegrounds, open world.

9. Will the Artifact Knowledge be shared across the account?

No, the Knowledge of the artifact will not be linked to the account. This system allows you to get artifacts faster for alternate specializations, but not for alternate characters.

10. How long will it take to download the first artifact to the maximum?

It will take several months to pump all 34 ranks of the artifact talents in the Legion. The developers did not give a more accurate figure.

We can't wait to hear your feedback on the introduction of weapons such as artifacts to the Legion - we welcome your feedback in the comments!

We touched on the mechanics and pumping of this new type of weapon. In this part, we'll talk about how to change the appearance of World of Warcraft: Legion artifacts.

Update Patch 7.2. Patch 7.2 introduced new artifact skins. ...

At the release, it is planned that the artifacts will have five different styles or types (the sixth will not be at the launch of the add-on, most likely it will be released in some kind of patch) and each style will have its own color scheme. There are several paths that will open you up to these types and variations of the type of artifact. Remember that you can change them at the Artifact Forge in the Class Hall.

Several important notes. Remember that you can transmogrify an artifact using a different weapon / A certain weapon style changes its type - for example, for VM-hunters, an artifact can be either a bow or a gun. The first five types that will be available at the start are described below:

  • classic look: quests related to the Class Hall;
  • improved look: achievements and quests related to the Class Hall, leveling artifacts and archeology;
  • Valiant View: PvE Progress (5ppl Dungeons);
  • Hardened Look: PvP Progress (Prestige Levels);
  • hidden view: the path of obtaining varies for each individual spec;
  • other species: were discovered by dataminers, but for what they can be obtained is still unknown.

In order to open variations of a certain style, you must first open its "Main Tint" (Main Tint). For example, in order to gain access to the "improved" style branch, you need to complete the Balance of Power quest chain, and only then you need to complete all the other achievements necessary to obtain other style variations.

Style variations are open to each individual character and do not apply to all characters in the account - you will need to repeat achievements on each of them to gain access to the style of artifact weapons. The only exception to this rule is the "Glory to the Legion Hero" meta-upgrade, which is given for obtaining all achievements in 5ppl.

Now let's take a closer look at how to access the view and its variations.
