DIY composter - how to make a garden version. Simple and effective models and step-by-step manufacturing instructions (115 photos). We make a housekeeper with our own hands: manufacturing options, photo ideas Making indoor fountains

Well-fertilized land always pleases with an abundant harvest of vegetables and fruits. In order to receive top dressing for the soil, it is not necessary to buy chemical fertilizers. To do this, a do-it-yourself compost pit can be built on the site. The manufacturing options are different, and it is easy to choose the one that is most suitable in terms of materials, their cost and the size of the site.

Compost is organic fertilizer derived from plant waste or waste products of some animals. This is the result of biodegradation of materials under the influence of various microorganisms.

When composting in the waste layer, substances are formed that are necessary for feeding the plants - nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and other elements, microflora dangerous to health is rendered harmless. Compost is used for all garden crops, applied in steam, in holes. This fertilizer is as effective as manure.

Attention! Not to be confused compost pit with cesspool... The second is the simplest autonomous sewage system. Fertilization will not work out of these effluents. The only thing that can be achieved is soil pollution.

Many refuse to build compost pit on their site due to the fact that they are afraid bad smell and unaesthetic appearance. If you choose the right place, then the design will not create discomfort for residents of this and neighboring areas.

Find out how, as well as familiarize yourself with the scheme, options and best ideas, in a special article on our portal.

When choosing a place, pay attention to which direction the water flows during rains. If there is a well on the site, then the flows should not be directed in that direction. Otherwise, the water will become polluted, lose its taste, or even become completely unusable.

The direction of the wind, which is most often observed in this area, should also be taken into account. Then the smell will be minimally spread over the site. Do not forget about the interests of your neighbors.

There should be partial shade in the chosen place. If the site is under the sun, then the compost mass dries up, the decay process slows down.

There should be no fruit, coniferous or evergreen trees or shrubs near the compost pit. When waste decays, corrosive substances are released. This can harm vegetation, in particular their root system. But if a birch or alder grows on the site, then such a neighborhood will not harm. Lush crowns will cover the structure from the scorching midday sun.

Table 1. Distance from the compost pit to other elements.

Attention! The pit is located on a site lower than the well. The water table is also taken into account so that it does not flood the compost tanks.

Although SNiP indicates the minimum required distance to the well 8 m, some owners decide to play it safe, and leave a distance between objects 25-30 m.

What foods can and cannot be thrown into the compost pit

Not all waste is allowed to be composted. Into the pit allowed throw:

  • raw fruits, tea leaves and coffee grounds, cereals, cleaning;
  • straw, fresh and dry grass, leaves, needles;
  • parts of trees and shrubs - they are pre-crushed, unpainted waste from woodworking;
  • wood ash;
  • paper products;
  • second-year herbivore manure.

Forbidden use for composting:

All products are divided into green and brown... The former are the source nitrogen, the latter saturate the soil carbon... The ratio of nitrogen to carbon is considered optimal when the proportions 25 to 1. A mass of leaves and freshly cut grass, taken in half, is thrown into the pit. They will give the mixture that is optimal in terms of chemical composition.

Compost pit construction

Compost pits are made from different materials... Usually they use those that are at hand. Standard size pits - 1500х3000 mm, height - from 1200 mm. A structure can be made large if there is a lot of waste.

The entire space is divided into three compartments:

  • for fresh waste;
  • for last year's waste;
  • for ready-made compost.

But variations are possible. So, if you achieve rapid ripening of the fertilizer, then one tank will be enough. For example, for this, 1 part of green waste is taken 25 brown, be sure to put manure. The total heap size must be at least 1 cubic meter, otherwise the temperature inside will not warm up to the required values (in different sources it is called 45-60 ° C).

Attention! The larger the pit, the better the temperature required for the activity of microorganisms is maintained in it.

Compost pit "for the lazy" - the easiest option

In this case, no building materials, tool only - shovel.

A trench of the above dimensions is dug in the ground with a depth 0.5 m. Sand is poured at the bottom. It acts as a drain to drain excess moisture from the pit. Cut branches are placed on the sand. This layer is responsible for aeration - oxygen enrichment.

Then the waste is laid in this order:

  • grass;
  • dry leaves;
  • sawdust;
  • table waste;
  • manure;
  • weeds.

Peat is poured between the layers, watered with water.

Attention! To activate the decay process, large waste is pre-crushed.

The total heap height is 150 cm, of which 100 cm rises above the surface of the earth. Covering material or slate sheets are placed on top. In summer, when it is too dry, the waste is watered with clean water.

Slate Compost Pit - More Efficient Layout

Such a tank can be made in as little as 1 day, and it will serve for many years. The main advantages of building material:

  • cheapness- you can use an old roof covering that has become unusable;
  • durability- asbestos-cement slabs serve up to 40 years old;
  • ease of installation.

Such a compost pit consists of slate sheets attached to a wooden frame.

Materials that will be required for it:

  • circular saw, grinder, screwdriver;
  • tape measure, marking pencil;
  • level;
  • slate;
  • frame boards;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • door handles, hinges - for the cover;
  • paint or varnish with antifungal properties, with which the inner sides of the walls of the future pit are processed.

Step-by-step instructions for making a slate compost pit

Step 1. Slate sheets are cut using a cutting tool.

Prices for angle grinders (grinders)

Angle grinders (grinders)

Step 2. They dig grooves for slate along the perimeter of the future pit.

Step 3. Cover the side of the slate, which will face the inside of the structure, with paint.

Step 4. Slate sheets are installed in the dug recesses, sprinkled with earth.

Step 5. A frame is made of boards along the outer or inner perimeter of the structure.

Step 6. Knock down the covers for the compartments from the boards, screw on the door handles. Attach door hinges and install covers. The compost pit is ready.

Such a tank can be hidden underground. Then, at the initial stage, they dig a hole of the required depth. The walls of the recess are sheathed with sheets, they are tied with wooden bars from the outside. The slate should protrude above the ground for 10-15 cm... The bars are covered with protective compounds.

Compost made of metal corrugated board

The compost box is also made of profiled sheet (corrugated sheet). It is a cladding material that is used for wall and roof decoration. It is better to take sheets with an anti-corrosion coating that protects the material from damage during the operation of the structure. Usually it is acrylic, polyester, PVC, and other materials.

The assembly is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. From wooden or metal bars collect the framework of the desired size. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the dimensions of the sheet. It is undesirable to cut them unless absolutely necessary, so as not to destroy the protective coating. The frame is made into as many sections as there should be in the composter.
  2. Self-tapping screws attach profile sheets to the frame.
  3. The top board is made of plywood or boards. If you are too lazy to make a lid, then you can cover the container with sheets of the same corrugated board.

The disadvantage of this design is that it has drum effect. Therefore, it will be noisy during a rainstorm. However, as the reservoir fills, the volume will decrease. In addition, the metal gets very hot under the sun. The polymer coating can deteriorate over time, which leads to the formation of foci of corrosion. Therefore, the structure must be regularly inspected.

Compost bin from a metal or plastic barrel - step by step instructions

The advantages of a compost tank from a barrel of this design:

  • simple materials that are either on hand or easy to get hold of;
  • this design is convenient in that the barrel is simply removed from the pit thanks to the roller mechanism;
  • will make such a structure any House master owning a grinder;
  • minimal inconvenience due to unpleasant odor on the site;
  • the barrel will not spoil the appearance of the site;
  • the compost is protected from wind, excess moisture, and other adverse factors.

To make the device, you will need a barrel - metal or plastic, with a volume 50 liters or more.

To prepare such a compost tank, in addition to the container, you will need:

  • plywood 6 mm;
  • wooden beams 5x10 cm(footage depends on the size of the barrel)
  • 4 roller;
  • fasteners - screws, nails.

A pit from a barrel is built in the following sequence:

Step 1. From plywood using a jigsaw or other carpentry tools cut out the lid for the container. Its diameter should be slightly larger than the diameter of the container neck.

Step 2. Cut 4 identical bars 10–12 cm long. Use charcoal or other coloring agent to wipe the edge of the barrel. Place the lid with the side facing the inside of the reservoir. A square is drawn in the resulting circle. At the tops of the figure, pieces of bars are nailed. This is necessary in order for the lid to close tightly.

Step 3. Make a rectangular frame from wooden blocks. Its length is slightly greater than the height of the tank, and its width is three quarters of its diameter.

Step 4. Attach 2 rollers to each long side of the rectangle. Fix them with screws.

Step 5. On the short side of the frame, where the bottom of the tank will be, attach the bar. This is a retaining stop that will prevent the barrel from moving downward. The timber should be in the same plane as the castors.

Step 6. Place the hook on the outside of the barrel, and fasten on opposite sides of the hinge, two rubber bands holding the cover.

A hole is dug on the site with a depth of 10-15 cm shallower than the height of the tank. First, the frame is immersed in the pit, and then the tank.

Attention! To make the frame last longer, it can be treated with various impregnations against fungus and rot, and then painted - for example, with enamels. So the wood will be reliably protected from adverse factors.

Concrete compost pit

A more durable way to get a place for humus production on your own site is to build a compost pit out of concrete. This design will last for decades.

The construction process is simple, and consists of the following stages:

  1. Digging a hole with the following dimensions: width - 200 cm, length - 300 cm, depth - 80 cm.
  2. Perimeter make the formwork along the entire height, providing also a transverse bulkhead (two are possible), which will divide the space into separate tanks.
  3. Concrete is prepared: cement-sand mixture ( 3 to 1) - 5 Kg, water - 5 l.
  4. The concrete mixture is poured into the formwork.
  5. The frame is knocked out of the boards. The chain-link mesh is pulled from above - this will be the cover for the structure.

Find out how to make from concrete rings, in a special article on our portal.

Steel mesh compost bin

To make the basket, they take a metal mesh, preferably with a polymer coating. The advantage of this design is that the compost is well ventilated and there is no decay process.

For the manufacture of the structure, the following materials will be required:

  • protective mesh for fences;
  • film or garden textiles (a large garbage bag can be used);
  • wire to connect the ends of the mesh.

The mesh is cut so that a cylinder of the desired diameter is obtained, and 20 cm stitching allowance. The same amount will be required for garden textiles. It is placed inside the basket. The edges are folded back over the top edge of the cylinder wall and secured with paper clips.

This is a fairly lightweight structure that is assembled in a few minutes and dismantled just as quickly. To give stability to the basket, it can be strengthened along the outer edge with wooden posts dug on 10-15 cm into the ground.

What other options are there for composter equipment

A compact composter can be made from planks. For a budget option, discarded wooden pallets, previously disassembled into parts, will come in handy.

The peculiarity of this design is that fresh and mature compost is stored in one tank. Due to the fact that there is a hole with a lifting wall at the bottom of the structure, it is easy and convenient to get the finished fertilizer. Another convenience is that there is no need to stir the substrate inside the box. Even a schoolboy can knock down such a box.

Attention! Wooden elements covered with impregnations, as in the case of a frame for a compost barrel.

If you can't do it yourself, then you can install a regular special plastic container on the site. They are produced in a capacity from 400 to 1000 l, which allows you to choose the most suitable option to fit your needs. However, the price for them can be quite high - up to 10 thousand rubles. It is for this reason that many owners summer cottages prefer homemade products from scrap materials.

Punch

A more durable option is to use ready-made concrete rings. Preliminarily, a recess is dug on the site along the diameter of the structure. Then the ring is installed and partially buried in the ground. A shield knocked down from boards is used as a cover. You can do with the usual covering material.

However, a composter made of concrete rings has one drawback: it does not have a lowered wall, which would make it possible to conveniently load waste or take compost. Therefore, for such operations, they are taken inside the structure.

How to care for a compost pit

To be able to prepare a high-quality fertilizer, the compost pit should be properly looked after.

The waste is periodically poured with water. This will ensure the proper decay process. The pile should be moist, but not wet. Excess moisture for bacteria is no less dangerous than lack of moisture.

The pile is stirred once a month to provide oxygen. This contributes to the burning of food. If there is no way to dig up the waste, they are thoroughly pierced with a pitchfork.

Owners of summer cottages and household plots should not give up the compost pit. This is not only an opportunity to obtain affordable fertilizers, but also a respect for the environment. After all, burning dry grass and leaves is harmful to nature. The law provides for a fine for such actions. A compost pit solves the problem of waste removal and disposal.

High-quality compost is one of the most effective and safe organic fertilizers, perfect for feeding fruit and berry and vegetable crops... To properly prepare the fertilizer, you need to make a compost pit with your own hands. We will consider manufacturing options and photos in detail in this article.

Plant and household organic residues that have undergone the processes of decomposition and decay in such a pit are transformed into a universal fertilizer. Under natural conditions, this period takes from one to two years. However, the use of suitable structures, timely maintenance of their contents and the use of special additives can significantly reduce the time and get ready-made compost in a few months.

Compost is excellent for use as a quality due to its homogeneous structure and external resemblance to fertile chernozem soil.

Basic rules for constructing a compost pit

The compost maturation pit is a real bioreactor, the main purpose of which is to stimulate the emergence and maintenance of biochemical reactions necessary for the decomposition of ingredients and their transformation into fertilizer.

The main principles of the correct arrangement and placement of such a pit on the site:

  • You need to place the pit in partial shade;
  • The distance to water sources must be at least 25 m;
  • It is desirable that there are no trees nearby;
  • You can bury the hole in the ground no more than 50 cm, but from above it should rise by about 1 m;
  • Consideration should be given to the possibility of loosening the compost;
  • It is necessary to alternate layers of organic and plant waste with soil.

The size of the pit must be selected depending on the amount of waste, focusing on the average annual volume.

Types of compost pits

There are several options for making compost pits, heaps and bins, with certain advantages and disadvantages.

Standard compost heap

The easiest way is to make an ordinary compost heap on the site, choosing the most suitable place for its placement, sufficiently remote from residential buildings, fruit trees and vegetable garden.

The manufacturing method is as simple as possible:

  1. In the chosen place, you need to start laying all the waste in layers, alternating plant and organic. Grass and fresh manure are desirable ingredients.
  2. In a heap, "grown" up to 1 m in height, you need to make several small depressions and carefully pour into them a special composition designed to accelerate the maturation of the compost.
  3. The pile should be regularly loosened with a pitchfork and, if there is insufficient moisture, it should be watered moderately.

By maintaining optimal humidity and warm enough weather, the compost in the heap will be ready within a few months. To provide the garden with fertilizer on a consistent basis, it is best to make several piles in succession.

Compost pile or pit, fenced with netting or any other material

To make the compost heap as easy to use as possible, you need to shield it with a fine-mesh metal mesh:

  1. Pick up a strong metal wire, bend it into a circle of a suitable diameter and connect with pliers. You can take a ready-made metal hoop.
  2. Cut the metal mesh of the required length, bend all sharp edges so as not to scratch your hands and connect it together, firmly bending the segments with pliers.
  3. In the same way, attach the net to the wire circle and place it over the compost heap, digging in a little. To make the structure better keep its shape, you can take two circles - attach one at the bottom, and the other at the top.
  4. To give strength, place several metal rods or pieces of strong wire inside the mesh, dig them into the ground and attach them tightly to the mesh itself.

The described method of organization makes it easy to get the finished compost, simply by raking it out of the lower mesh cells, or gently lift the mesh, taking out the finished fertilizer.

Using this method, you can make a compost pit with your own hands. The options for its manufacture in the photo assume a not too high fence with a net, so that there is access to the mixing of decomposing waste. The pit must be strengthened inside so that the walls do not crumble, digging the mesh structure directly into the ground.

Instead of a net, you can use metal racks, corners and wooden sticks, fastened together with strong wire. It turns out a fence that resembles an ordinary fence. Wooden sticks can be knocked together with horizontally placed boards. A round pile or pit will be inconvenient in such cases, so it is better to choose a square or rectangular shape.

Ordinary slate, corrugated sheets, polycarbonate and other similar materials will do. When using them, it is important to ensure the flow of air into the compost pit by making ventilation holes.

Simple compost pit

A great way to get dried grass and tops left over from different plants is to use a simple compost pit dug into the ground. You need to do it like this:

  1. Remove the top layer of the earth and dig a hole no more than 50 cm deep, so that it is convenient to get to the very bottom. The optimal width and length for universal pits are 1 and 2 m, respectively.
  2. Put hay, tree bark, branches, grass or leaves at the bottom.
  3. Place waste on top in layers, alternating organic and inorganic.
  4. Cover the pit with a tarpaulin or plastic wrap to maintain the optimum temperature.

Basically, a pit is not much different from a compost heap, but it is more difficult to maintain it in proper condition, since it can be difficult to loosen and mix the compost. The main advantage over a heap is space savings.

Concrete compost pit

To create a stationary compost pit, you can use concreting technology:

  1. Dig a hole 20-30 cm deeper than the planned burial.
  2. Build a formwork around the pit, the thickness of which should be about 10 cm.
  3. Mix and pour concrete solution.
  4. After complete drying, remove the formwork.
  5. At the bottom, place a drainage layer of dry twigs, leaves or hay.
  6. Provide for the possibility of covering the pit with plywood or film.

A similar structure can also be made using concrete rings. The stationary pit is the best choice for those who plan to use it for many years. For such a pit, the issue of ventilation and stimulation of waste decomposition is relevant.

Compost bins from old plastic barrels

Good closed compost bins come from old plastic barrels... The size of the barrel must be selected, focusing on a certain amount of waste.

The simplest construction can be done like this:

  1. Rinse the barrel well if it contains any chemicals before.
  2. Cut off one side to provide free access to the ground.
  3. Make wide enough slots in the bottom of the barrel or a special hinged door so that you can easily get the finished compost.
  4. Place the barrel in a pre-selected location with the lid facing up. If a convenient lid was not provided in the barrel, you can make it yourself by attaching it to the hinges.

The plastic barrel is absolutely not subject to rotting, but due to its tightness, the compost in it can decompose incorrectly. To cope with this is the placement on bare ground, without a bottom, the creation of additional ventilation holes and the use of special mixtures to accelerate the decomposition of waste.

To significantly accelerate the maturation of the compost, you can use a special design with a rotating plastic barrel located horizontally.

Not everyone can make such an adaptation on their own, but ready-made options are often quite expensive. The main advantage of such a structure is that the fertilizer in it can be ready within 3-4 weeks.

Wooden compost bins

In addition to plastic barrels and do-it-yourself compost pits, the production options for which are discussed above, boxes made of ordinary wood have proven themselves well, providing optimal ventilation necessary for the compost to mature.

Such boxes are made according to the same principle as containers from plastic barrels, only the lower part is left open or a hinged door is installed for easy removal of the fertilizer. To make wood last longer, it must be treated with special compounds.

There is another version of the boxes, assuming the presence of a wooden bottom. In this case, drainage from dry branches, straw and similar materials is placed on the "floor". The bottom is often made of a metal mesh stuffed onto a wooden frame.

Convenient to use three-section wooden boxes separated by partitions. Such designs are made in the same way as ordinary boxes, only they provide for the presence of three compartments. One for ready-made fertilizer for two years "aging", another for maturing compost and one for fresh waste.

Such boxes require a sufficiently large free area on the site. However, they are the most versatile tools to ensure a constant availability of ready-made compost.

A great way to speed up the maturation time of the compost and improve its quality is to plant Californian worms, which can loosen the waste a little and give it a uniform structure. Worms can be planted in any compost heaps, pits and boxes.

Those who have their own land plot and who care about the soil, improve it, need compost all the time. The first question: where to get it? The answer is simple - do it yourself. There is always a lot of organic waste in every household, it is wiser to send it to a compost bin than to take it to a landfill.

Compost bin options

Second question: where to collect waste? You can just pile them up. Some summer residents will be satisfied with such a simple, easy and quick-to-manufacture option like a compost pit. It is also attractive because it does not require material investments: you need a shovel, your strength and a little time.

Some people prefer to use a factory-made compost container - plastic or metal. And my neighbor, for example, makes compost in a barrel, drilling holes in the sides and in the bottom for air access. Finally, you can put in a little effort and build your own compost bin.

Compost bin requirements

What needs to be considered when manufacturing? The maturing compost needs an oxygen supply, therefore side vents should be provided. There must be a cover so that atmospheric precipitation does not wash off nutrients into the soil.

Otherwise, the value of compost as biofertilizer will be zero. You can, of course, cover the box without a lid with foil, but it will have to be fixed in some way so as not to be blown away by the wind. And this is not always convenient, and it looks unaesthetic. In the lower layer, the compost matures faster, so the design should provide for easy access to it. Here is a schematic drawing of a basic compost bin.

The size can be changed at your discretion.

Another version of the compost bin is two-section. One section also with removable frontal boards.

You can choose a simpler opening structure; here the role of loops will be taken on by long strips of rubber (or other available elastic material), securely attached to the boards:

But the economy option: a wooden compost bin. It will take a minimum of money and time to build it.

If you decide to approach the issue thoroughly, let's take a step-by-step, with all the details, consider how to make a compost box.

DIY compost bin

So, we make a three-section compost bin with our own hands. We set 8 columns. We pre-process the lower part, which is in the ground (used engine oil, tar, fuel oil - what is available).

In the photo, 4 bars are attached to the fence supports, which simplified the process: you did not have to dig 4 holes for the posts.

The next stage is partitions.

We nail the boards, leaving gaps for ventilation between them. Two compartments will be equipped with small doors, so we cover the front of the future box with a board up to half the height.

A large door is provided in the third part of the box, so we nail down one board from below.

The time has come to install the covers. The upper end parts of the partitions, the front and rear walls are reinforced with crossbeams. We hang the doors, which simultaneously act as a cover. We also equip the front of the drawer with three doors - two small and one large.

Considering that the compost will ripen in our box - that is, decomposition organic materials(which includes wood), you need to take precautions so that the box itself does not become an integral part of the future fertilizer. To prevent this from happening, we process the wood with special (preferably deep penetration) to protect it from moisture, insects, and decay. Fortunately, now the choice of protective drugs is huge, it will not be difficult to buy them even in the outback. At the same time, remember that compost is a fertilizer, so all wood processing products must be non-toxic.

After treatment with impregnations, we paint the box in any color pleasing to our eyes. When choosing, keep in mind that it will be constantly affected by temperature extremes and precipitation. The paint must be applied in 2 layers; the second - only after the first is completely dry.

There is very little left - to hang the handles and latches. Everything! Our DIY miracle compost box is ready!

Summing up, we can say the following: it is not important which compost container you choose; not all possible options are considered in this article.

The main thing is that the production of compost takes place according to all the rules, only then the result will be a truly valuable organic fertilizer. For more information on what the correct compost is, and how to make it, we will talk in. In the meantime, useful publications

How to make a housekeeper on the wall

Coziness in the house is "assembled" from little things. It is the small details that give the house originality and coziness, make living much more pleasant and comfortable. One of these small things is the wall key holder.

If the keys have nowhere to put them, then you have to look for them for a long time. It spoils the nerves, makes you nervous. A housekeeper is far from a difficult thing, it is easy to do it yourself.

By the way, a homemade housekeeper can be great gift.

A little about boring: types of housekeepers

As you probably understand, there is no strict or official classification. But the whole variety of key holders can be divided into several categories or types. According to the location or method of application, there are wall and pocket key holders.

Pocket is a cover made of leather, fabric or other similar materials. This case has loops (metal or made of a strong cord) to which the keys are hooked.

Pocket key holders are needed more for the convenience and safety of pockets or bags: it is easy to tear the thin lining fabric with metal keys. The second function is to keep all the keys in one place.

It is easier to look for them even in a woman's bag.

Key holders for pockets and bags are one of the most profitable and necessary gifts

note

Wall mounted key hangers can be open or closed. Closed - small drawers with a swing door with hooks stuffed inside. Doors can also be hinged or lifting. Private key holders are suitable for those keys that are rarely used. Constantly opening and closing the door is not very convenient.

Wall key holder closed type can be of different shapes ... at least make a round one if you want))

Wall-mounted open key holders are more common and can be very diverse in appearance. The most famous and simple one is a plank with small hooks. Any hooks: furniture, nails or screws, pieces of thick copper wire, wooden knots.

You can use old forks, furniture handles, and the same old hooked keys. In general, the imagination is not limited, you can fix everything that the key ring will fit on. And you don't have to use everything that is the same.

The combination can be very interesting.

Much easier ... but there is a gloss

Wall key holders are also made from various, sometimes unexpected things or materials, but the most common are wooden or sheet material such as plywood, MDF, etc.

Especially often wood is used for making housekeepers with their own hands. It is easier to work with wood or plywood and the result is more or less guaranteed, even if you are doing something yourself for the first time.

Making a wall key holder with your own hands is a good experience for beginners.

Open-type wall key holder: ideas and options

If you decide to make a housekeeper, it is better to start with something not too complicated. First, decide on the place where you plan to hang the product. This will make it easier and faster to choose a model - long and narrow or closer to a square, circle, etc. Further, it is already a matter of technology. Most of the models are quite simple, even if you are doing something with your own hands for the first time.

If you have patience and are good at a jigsaw, you can make such a masterpiece from plywood.

From wooden planks

As we already said, wall-mounted wooden key holders are one of the most common options for DIYers. Now you will understand why ... Probably, it is not a problem for anyone to find a few tablets. Planks of any size and thickness will do.

You can use long thin strips - 20-30 mm wide, medium - 40-70 mm or even wide. They can be connected to each other, folding into the shape you need / like. Three samples in the photo below.

When you decide on the shape, you can start processing.

Wall key holder made of wooden planks

Processing wood is also not a problem. You can use different methods. If you want to have something classic and strict, take sandpaper or a sander and sand the surface until smooth. Further - you can cover with paint, oil, stain with varnish or without. All this gives different types of surfaces, respectively, and looks different.

Some more ideas

If you need a more informal look - a loft or something like that, you can take a metal brush (you can use a drill attachment), remove some soft fibers. A clear woody pattern will appear. It's quick and easy to do this with pine.

You just need to find a board with an interesting pattern. Further - you can again go through with oil for wood, stain, varnish on water based with coloring pigment. All of them give a different effect, but the protruding parts are stained worse, the wood shines through. The soft part is darker.

As a result, the woody pattern appears more clearly.

Approximately the same effect, but more "harsh", gives the blowtorch treatment. Soft fibers are burned, the structure is more clearly manifested. But here you have to be careful not to overheat. It will not be possible to restore it ...

Combined with a shelf

The wall key holder is just for keys - not very practical. We usually don't have so many bundles to fill a dozen hooks with them. Therefore, combined models often appear - with a small shelf for small things, which also have a place not far from the door.

Key holder with shelf

Sizes and formats, as you can see, are different. The difficulty level is the same. Take your pick. You can make an L- or T-shaped structure, attach hooks at the top or bottom.

There is a very interesting idea in the photo - a housekeeper with magnets without hooks (on the left in the photo above). At the bottom of the shelf, small magnets are glued in, which attract the keys. It is convenient to use - no need to "aim", everything happens very quickly.

Magnets - if they are the same and look "civilized", you can glue them to the front surface, if the sizes are different, it is better to make recesses in shape. The magnet itself should protrude slightly above the surface - by 1-2 mm.

This is enough to find it by touch (if necessary).

Plywood

In some ways, plywood is easier to work with than wood. The surface is already processed, all that is needed is to cut it in shape, sandpaper along the edge. Then paint, and you can proceed to the final - attach the hooks.

Any shape can be cut from plywood

Why plywood key holders are good - you can cut any shape. Any shape, style. For housekeepers, images of keys are often used, but maybe a dog, a bird, a mouse ... whatever.

From picture frames

If you have a picture frame or can make one, it will also make a very good wall key holder. On the reverse side, you need to fix some kind of base, for example, a piece of fiberboard or hardboard ooze. It is more convenient to fasten with staples from a construction stapler. As a last resort, use an all-purpose adhesive.

Regular or unusual frame

Inside the frame, the surface can be painted, pasted on a drawing, plain paper, a piece of wallpaper ... Whatever you want or come up with. Hooks can be attached to the frame or to the interior - again, however you wish. The point is their type and the load that is planned.

Wooden and without hooks

Believe it or not, there is a wall key holder without hooks and magnets. It is usually made from natural wood, since this material is the easiest way to implement the idea. After all, you can not hang the keys by the ring, but stick them into something. For example, in the gap. It remains only to make such slots, and this is not even difficult at all.

Housekeeper without hooks

Moreover, as you can see, the cuts can be both horizontal and at an angle. You can make them using, for example, milling machine... This is the most accurate and safest way. You can also use circular saw... Even a regular saw. It is only important to stop in time and then process the cut well.

Dashboards of various devices - also in business

If there are old non-working appliances in the pantry, in which there are panels with sockets into which plugs were once inserted, you have a chance to make an exclusive key holder. Carefully cut out this panel, insert the plugs with key rings into the slots. All is ready. Can be hung on the wall.

Stylish wall key holders in a youth interior

It works just as well with a guitar / violin / cello headstock or any other stringed instrument. You can use tuners, you can add hooks. By the way, no one bothers to make an imitation, if it's a pity to spoil the instrument. It can turn out even more interesting.

Housekeeper hooks

Hooks can be made from a wide variety of materials. For the classics, you can start by going to a furniture fittings store. There are plenty to choose from. There are hooks for furniture, overhead, which are attached to the surface.

Some types of furniture hooks are made of metal, and there are also plastic

The hooks can be attached to plywood as well, but you need to glue them to do this. The main thing is to find a suitable adhesive, with good adhesion to wood and plastic or metal, from which the selected hooks are made.

To make it clear what it is about

There are different kinds / types of self-tapping screws / screws with hooks at the ends. They need to be screwed into the board, so this is not an option for plywood.

There are also picture hooks (pictured below). They are made of plastic and have several metal pins in the body. These pins can be hammered in with a hammer, and even into concrete without any problems. The only drawback of this option is the considerable price. And so, and look good, and hold up well.

Very easy to assemble

These are just standard hook options. In general, it can be made from knots, old keys, forks, wire ... everything that has a small thickness and a suitable shape, or which can be given this shape.

How to make a wall key holder with your own hands: photo report

To make a wall key holder, the following materials were needed:

  • Frame for a photo of a suitable format. A door is made of it.
  • Wooden bars 20 * 40 mm.
  • Hooks, hinges, doorknob.

From the tool - a saw, a jigsaw, a construction stapler with staples, a drill and a screwdriver. Well, and a tape measure with a pencil. This is the first thing we did with our own hands, so there are enough mistakes.

That's all it took to make a do-it-yourself wall key holder

First of all, the bars were sawn to fit the frame. Connected with staples from a stapler. The result is the frame of the part that is hung on the wall. A piece of fiberboard was cut to size and also attached with staples to the frame.

We make the back of the closed key holder

There are two best solutions... The first is to make the connection of the bars by sawing them at 45 °. It looks much better, albeit harder to execute.

If you are not sure what to cut will turn out exactly, you can do it as in the photo. But it is better to fasten the bars with self-tapping screws. And this is unambiguous.

Let the housekeeper not have a big load, and the fiberboard gives rigidity to the frame, but it is more reliable to fix the bars with self-tapping screws.

If the connection is as in the photo, self-tapping screws - two pieces for each joint - are screwed from above, perpendicular to the top board. To make the screw go easier, holes are pre-drilled. The drill diameter is 1-2 mm less than the screw diameter.

Installing the crossbars for the hooks

From the same bars we saw off two segments - according to the inner size of the box. We put them in the case, fix them on the back with staples. We take the furniture hinges, mark their position on the case, mark the holes for the fasteners. We make holes with a drill, fasten the hinges and put a furniture magnet to fix the door in the closed state.

Installing the hooks

Here, too, there is something to do "more correctly". It is better to fix the strips through the walls of the frame with the same self-tapping screws. So that they do not move, they just can be fixed with brackets, but then it is better to screw in two screws on each side.

note

To prevent the caps from sticking out, choose a drill that is slightly larger in diameter than the screw cap.

Make a hole for a self-tapping screw (the drill is 1 mm smaller than the screw diameter), then small recesses with a large diameter - so that the head is hidden.

We assemble the door and install the hinges

Next, we make out the door. Cut out a piece of suitable size from the same fiberboard and fasten it with staples. Drill a through hole on one side, install a handle. On the other, we mark where the hinges need to be fixed, unscrew them, attaching the counterparts, mark the place for installing the fasteners. Having made the holes, we put the hinges in place, connecting the two parts.

Almost all

As usual, the description better option... As you can see, there is a decent gap between the door and the body. With such an installation of loops, this is inevitable.

To avoid it, the loop is circled around the perimeter with a sharp pencil (it is better to scratch it with a knife blade), then with the help of a chisel they take out a certain amount of wood - to the thickness of the loop plate. Its surface should be flush with the frame.

A similar operation is performed with the counterpart. A hinge installed in this way will not give a gap, although more work is required.

Homemade wall key holder

In general, not bad for a first experience. But in order for the wall key holder to look more presentable, it is desirable to trim it. Finishing- this is already a matter of taste, but at least polish it. If there is no grinder, this can be done with sandpaper fixed to the bar. To begin with, take a medium grain, then everything finer.

How can you decorate a wall key holder with a door

Non-standard homemade key holders on the wall

It is not at all necessary that the manufacture of a wall key holder should be long and persistent. And no one said that you can't use non-standard materials. As always, everything is possible in needlework, sometimes even what is prohibited. A few ideas that can please you with simplicity and originality.

The first number is the use of connectors and suitable plugs. We make key rings from the plugs, and fasten the connectors "for nothing" near front door... In total, it will take about twenty minutes.

Connectors and plugs - and almost nothing to do

An ordinary stick can also be turned into a housekeeper. Make hooks from aluminum wiring, wrap them around the stick, decorate it with colored twine, paint with paints. Fixing on the wall is also not a problem - the rope is tied at both ends, clings to a nail or a hook.

From an ordinary stick

Throwing away wine corks- unheard of waste. They make a very interesting housekeeper. The plugs are glued together, and then screws with hooks are screwed into them. Stylish and unusual, minimum time and cost.

From wine corks

If there is just a piece of good wood, it can be polished, covered in several layers with wood oil with a pigment. It already turns out beautifully. It is not a problem to find or make hooks of a small format, and the board itself can be decorated with something.

A well-crafted piece of wood with embellishment and hooks

The photo above is a stylized key, but it could be anything. Some interesting piece that echoes the interior or reflects your hobbies. Yes, at least a couple of magnets brought from travels glue. It is already unfashionable to hang them on refrigerators, but here they will be just right.

Tennis balls work very well as key holders too

If you cut a tennis ball about halfway it will hold small objects very well. Several of these "holders" can be used to make a housekeeper in a sports house. The second option is in the picture on the right. If you can secure the balls to the rod (with glue, for example), inserting small hooks is not a problem.

The problem is, they are more likely to spin. And to prevent this from happening, a composition can be poured into the ball, which, after drying / polymerization, will become hard. The first thing that comes to mind is tile adhesive. But you need to fill it in carefully.

If it hits the surface of the ball and hardens, you won't wash it off.

Ideas for inspiration

If there are many keys, you can make a "multipage". This option is suitable for hotels, holiday homes

The wall key holder is decorated with anything you like. If you like stones, you can glue them too. There would be a desire

If keys are more expensive than money ... there are key holders with a combination lock

Can be used as a gift

With patterns and forging elements. For some interiors, it's a godsend

Humorous and very cute

With a separate "built-in" key fob for each family member

The main thing is not to confuse it with a regular outlet.

If you know the technique of incrustation, even rot in wood can be turned into advantages. In fact, everything is simple - put stones / pieces of ceramics on the cleaned voids and fill everything with epoxy glue

Very fine mosaics can be used

    • Harmony. You don't have to choose among the options available when there is an opportunity to make a housekeeper that fits perfectly into your home interior.

    • Quality. You use quality materials, and in the stores you use fragile plastic and wood.

    The variety of options also attracts: you can make a "keeper of keys" from any available material. Below is everything in order.

    From a saw cut from a tree

    The most popular material for making a housekeeper is wood. The easiest way is to use a saw cut:

    • Saw off a saw cut of a suitable thickness (it is better to use a pine trunk).
    • Sand the surface on both sides, moving along the grain.
    • Sequentially cover the workpiece with a stain on three layers, waiting for each of them to dry completely.
    • If desired, apply a drawing, pattern or ornament to the surface.
    • Cover with varnish.
    • Drill the holes for the fasteners with a drill from the back.
    • Screw on the hooks from the front.

    From a whole branch

    The main thing is to find a beautiful branch, peel, dry, file and perform several actions:

    • Cover the workpiece with wood stain and leave to dry for an hour.
    • Screw on the fasteners.
    • Complete the crochet hooks with a few metal hooks.

    From the frame from under the photo

    A stylized "screen" with keys will look no less impressive and original, for which it is necessary:

    • Prepare a piece of plywood that is suitable in size for the existing frame.
    • Apply a suitable pattern to the board or simply cover it with plain paint.
    • Paint the frame to match.
    • Connect the parts.
    • Screw on the hooks and fasteners.

    From a piece of chipboard

    Any piece of wood, chipboard or plywood is an excellent basis for an original key holder. The main thing is to adhere to the following steps:

    • Find a suitable stencil.
    • Cut out the figure.
    • Sand the contours.
    • Drill holes for hooks and hangers.
    • Complement the product with a drawing or drawing of details.
    • Apply a finishing varnish coat.

    From the constructor "LEGO"

    An interesting solution would be to decorate the hallway with a children's designer. Step by step manufacturing of such housekeepers with their own hands looks like this:

    • Find the basis: take a single bar or assemble an interesting Lego composition.
    • Make an inscription on the base with the constructor "keys", "home".
    • Burn holes with a hot nail on separate "bricks".
    • Insert separate keys into the burnt hole.
    • Attach keys wherever you want.

    Leather

    If a square piece of leather is lying around at home, then making a desktop key holder from it would be a good option. This is done simply:

    • Treat the skin.
    • Fasten each corner of the square with a metal rivet.
    • Add accessories that match the style (chain, braid, riveting).

    Any given master class on key holders with your own hands is your chance to make your "place" for constantly lost keys, ideally in harmony with the existing interior. To do this, it is enough to find a knotty branch in the yard or slightly update the photo frame. The main thing is to turn on your imagination, find a suitable basis and be inspired by the above ideas.

    How to make a housekeeper: photo.

    We take a sheet of fiberboard and cut out two identical rectangles measuring 340 x 220 mm from it, from one we will make the back wall of the key holder, from the other a door. We cut out the parts for the decorative frame on the door from the platband, (two with a length of 340 mm and two with a length of 220 mm) we make the edges of the platbands at an angle of 45 degrees.

    We will make the side walls of our key holder from a strip with a section of 1.5 x 40 mm. Saw off two planks 340 mm long and two planks 190 mm long. We make a frame from the planks, fasten the planks with screws.

    We fasten the cut-out rectangle made of fiberboard to the frame with staples using a furniture stapler.

    Now you need to attach two horizontal strips (10 x 25 mm) 190 mm long to the back wall with brackets. We fasten the hooks to the slats on which the keys will be hung.

    We start making the door for the housekeeper.

    We take the second cut-out rectangle made of fiberboard and attach a frame of planks to it with staples.

    We fasten the hinges to the inside of the door with screws. In the side bar of the key holder, we make recesses for the size of the hinges and fasten them to the bar with screws.

    We attach a handle to the door and install a magnetic latch so that the door does not open itself.

    How to make a housekeeper with your own hands: step by step instructions, photo ideas

    Before going outside, each of us will double-check or take everything we need with us. Someone may have a watch, someone may have a mobile phone. But very often we all forget the keys. But this is a very important thing, without which we cannot close our house and start the car.

    Especially stressful situations arise at the moment when you need to rush to work or an important meeting, and the keys are not found. Therefore, in order to avoid such cases, it is better to purchase a housekeeper, which will become the keeper of your time.

    In this article, we will consider in detail what types of housekeepers are, and how to make it with our own hands.

    Varieties of housekeepers

    The key holder is a special device that allows you to keep all the keys in plain sight. By design, this product is limited only by the personal tastes of the owner of the house. Key holders are divided into several types:

  • Wall. An item for storing keys is hung on the wall near the exit. It is placed in such a position that it is always in your field of vision. This is necessary in order to find the keys you need as quickly as possible without wasting extra time. The design of the wall key holder includes hooks or any other creative fasteners for a key ring.
  • Pocket. This type of key holder is very good-looking, as it allows you to keep all the keys with you at all times in one place. In this case, your pocket will not wipe, and the gadget will remain in it without a single scratch. The thing is that the keys are in a special wallet.
  • Desktop. A table key holder means an ordinary box, which can be of various shapes and decorated with beautiful patterns. In order not to lose sight of the box, you can attach some kind of keychain to it, which would be conspicuous.
  • Closet. If you have a closet in the hallway, this is a great opportunity to use its door surfaces. You can also put a dressing glass near the exit, which is no less convenient. Both the mirror and the keys will always be at hand.
  • The purpose of key holders is not only to store keys. They can also be adapted to save glasses, phones, flash drives and other items that will always go missing somewhere. In addition to these things, you can store notes.

    If you set out to store not only keys, but also other items, you need to equip your device additional elements fasteners. Also, do not place the housekeeper too close to the front door.

    Because this way, a potential attacker will have a better chance of stealing your belongings.

    note

    Key holders are available in several options for their customers. It all depends on the purpose for which they will be bought. For example, office buildings usually choose metal constructions which are locked with a padlock. This is very convenient as it keeps access restrictions and organizes the control system.

    Hotels usually prefer products that are strictly tailored to the interior of the room. Key holders in warehouses do not have any special design at all, but are made in the usual shape and color. The main thing is that the product fulfills its standard function.

    But if you are doing home repairs, you should approach the manufacture of a key holder more individually, so that in the future your taste will definitely be appreciated.

    Simple plank housekeeper

    Although this option looks quite simple in appearance, it is a very effective solution where to keep the keys. You can start making a product by buying a regular rounded board. If you don't want to change the shape of the object, you can immediately start sanding the surface with sandpaper.

    If you want to keep the current color of the board, you can simply embellish it with varnish. If you don't like the color, you can immediately start painting or upholstery with fabric. To quickly find the area with keys in the future, paint black on the outline of the shape. In this way, the key holder will stand out against the background of painted walls or wallpaper, and you will quickly find the key you need.

    The holes need to be drilled as many as the keys will be stored. If you wish, you can decorate the housekeeper with additional figures made of paper or other material that can be glued.

    The original housekeeper from the branch

    If you are a creative person, then it is not a problem for you to turn every little thing into a delightful decor element. In the case of making a key holder, you will need the following:

    • wooden branch;
    • several metal hooks;
    • drill and hammer drill;
    • screws and dowels.

    A piece of wood is best taken from an oak tree. The material will be more durable. However, you can take branches of other trees. The main thing is that they can withstand the load from the tools, and the hooks are freely screwed into the wood and hold well in the subsequent period of operation.

    Stages of work:

  • The bark of the tree is peeled off with sandpaper.
  • With a drill, you need to drill as many holes as you have hooks. The holes should be slightly smaller in diameter than the hooks themselves. Also, you need to drill the main two hinged holes.
  • If you are not satisfied with the color of the item, use wood stain to give those shades of the wooden key holder that you like best. Excess layers will need to be removed with sandpaper.
  • Coating with varnish will slightly improve the appearance of the product. You can choose from glossy and matte varnish. You can choose according to the needs of the interior.
  • The future decor element is well applied to the wall surface in order to fix accurate marks for further installation.
  • Two holes are processed with a perforator, after which the course goes behind the dowels and screwing the key holder.
  • Since the caps of the screws will be visible, they can be covered with putty.
  • It remains only to screw in the required number of hooks and hang out the keys calmly.
  • Key holder in the form of a frame

    Perhaps you have old photos that you cannot find a place on the wall. In this case, it is unnecessary to hang out dusty paintings, but it is better to adapt their frames for more creative purposes. For example, you can inhale new life into the old frames, if you use them as the decoration of the housekeeper. This requires the following components:

    • glue;
    • a piece of plywood;
    • hooks.

    If for some reason you do not like the current design, you can always change it. For example, sanding and painting. A piece of plywood is cut in proportion to the dimensions of the frame.

    Also, in addition to painting, you can decorate the frame with a cloth, but for this you need to make gaps on each side. Hooks are also attached with glue.

    After all these actions, the housekeeper in the form of a picture can be hung on the wall.

    Closed housekeeper

    This type of product looks like a house or birdhouse that has doors. Such key holders are made from wood, plastic and textiles. But as practice shows, many people prefer the wooden style. The following materials are required for manufacturing:

    • a piece of plywood;
    • sandpaper;
    • fasteners for doors;
    • screws;
    • hooks;
    • dye.

    Stages of work:

  • A sketch of the housekeeper is drawn.
  • According to the worked out scheme, details for the house are cut out.
  • The cut parts must be sanded with sandpaper.
  • Cover with a triple layer of varnish.
  • When all the parts are ready, the assembly is carried out (the tightened screws should not be visible from the outside).
  • Fastening the doors.
  • A lock is being installed.
  • Hooks are screwed on.
  • The design takes place by painting or gluing a separate image.
  • Plywood key holder for the whole family

    When a large family lives at home, a large plywood housekeeper is perfect. It is convenient because the keys of each family member will always be in front of your nose.

    Parents and children will not be confused or forgotten. This is due to the fact that a certain character will be inscribed above each key fob. For example, you can give the contours of a picture of a car, house, children.

    This kind of approach serves as sorting the keys.

    Stages of work:

  • The plywood board is carefully processed using sandpaper (the corners are rounded if desired).
  • In advance, you need to plan the background for a large housekeeper (drawing or picture).
  • The image is transferred to the work area using a pencil or any other solid object.
  • After drawing the contours, you can grab the jigsaw and carefully cut the required shape.
  • In the area of individual figures, you need to pierce the holes for the rings of the key rings.
  • The surface is sanded again so that no debris from piercing comes across.
  • The product is covered with varnish or paint, and then hung on the wall.
  • Key holder magnet

    The original version on a magnet looks very nice and comfortable. It is better to make such a magnetic key holder in a minimalist style. For the less its weight, the better the hanging keys will hold the magnet.

    For manufacturing, materials such as plywood, cardboard or plastic are selected. The desired shape is cut from these materials, and then glued to the magnet. And it turns out a simple but reliable housekeeper.

    As a decoration, you can use various materials: ribbons, patterns, drawings. Phosphorus sprays are considered a universal option.

    Thus, at a late hour, even before the lights are turned on, you can recognize the location of the keys.

    The use of decoupage technique in decorating a housekeeper

    Using this technique allows you to display your planned pattern or pattern on the surface of the material being processed. This process takes place by decorating the selected image on the work surface.

    What is required for this:

    • wood blank;
    • napkin;
    • glue;
    • acrylic varnish and white paint.

    Before applying the drawing, you need to treat the surface. Therefore, first it is sanded, and then the white composition is applied in two layers. Once the mixture is dry, pick a suitable area. Apply the drawing to the desired area. Then you will have to evenly apply the glue starting from the middle.

    Remember to get rid of bubbles and excess air. After the glue is dry, decide on the overall tone of the painting. It is desirable that it matches the image itself. Any excess can be decorated with paint and a piece of washcloth, which you can pinch in a clothespin for convenience.

    And now, the decoupage technique is over. True, it is better to apply a special varnish as a protective layer. Turn the key holder to the side of the world and where you see bald spots, apply a protective varnish in two layers. Sandpaper again to get rid of any possible defects.

    As for the hooks, there is complete freedom of your taste.

    The housekeeper can also act as an organizer. We are talking about a small box in which you usually sell some kind of household utensils or store clothespins. Also, a similar item can be easily assembled from plywood. In addition to storing keys, you can store glasses or a mobile device in it, which is also sometimes forgotten when leaving the house.

    Other options

    Children's key holder options are acceptable. If your children love to play Lego constructor, they have a great opportunity to build a housekeeper. In general, the construction process itself will be fun and instructive for your child.

    And in the case of a large family, absolutely everyone can take part. So, you will need the most basic large panel on which the other elements will be built. The keys can be multi-colored building bricks with three holes so that you can pick up the keychain.

    If your construction kit does not include building elements with holes, you can make them using an awl.

    The whole advantage of the Lego key holder is that you can choose any color that suits you; in addition to the hooks-bricks, add additional decorative elements (you can even finish building some kind of winged inscription).

    As mentioned earlier, sometimes you have to carry a large collection of keys with you in your pocket at all times. For this reason, the pockets are rubbed and holes are formed.

    And if you also put the gadget with the keys, and completely damage everything at once. Therefore, an alternative option would be a pocket housekeeper. You can also make it yourself or purchase it from a store.

    How to make a wall key holder: manufacturing methods and decor ideas

    Menu

    The best way to keep your keys tidy is with the wall key holder in the hallway! In my apartment, all the keys were lying around in bags and pockets exactly until such a wonderful thing was done. She made life a lot easier and even freed up some free time.

    In addition, this is almost an ideal hand-made gift for a housewarming or wedding. I give 100% that the gift will look impressive, impress everyone and be remembered for a long time.

    In general, today a master class on how to make a housekeeper with your own hands, choose for her beautiful design and securely fasten the fittings.

    Materials for work

    1. Frame made of wood, 13x18 cm or more. The key holder in the photo is 17x22 cm.The width of the baguette profile itself should be at least 2.5-3 cm.). If we take a plastic frame, then the width of the baguette must be at least 3 cm and it cannot be overloaded with keys too much. It is best if the frame has its own suspension on the d-rings, and not the usual photo back.

    If they are not there, then you can buy them at a baguette workshop or some hobby stores. 2. A beautiful napkin or a picture with the desired image, or a ready-made decoupage krata. 3. Standard set materials for decoupage - glue, white primer, acrylic varnish, brush. 4.

    Key hooks (look at the photo for an option - half-ring screws, buttons or classic hooks) - they can be purchased in hardware stores

    5. Knife, ruler, simple pencil, screwdriver, awl or drill, several screws 3.5x16 cm.

    Subsequence

    The master class consists of two stages - performing decoupage and assembling a key holder. I start with decoupage. 1. I disassemble the frame, take out the backdrop from it and pass it with white soil in 2 layers. I wait to dry or dry with a hairdryer. 2.

    I glue the selected fragment of the decoupage card onto the glue. 3. After drying, I cover with varnish in 2 layers. I wait again for it to dry, then insert it into the frame. All in all, nothing complicated.

    Now the master class is coming to the most interesting stage with different options- fastening of hooks.

    note

    4. If the frame is wooden, then choose directly on it where the hooks will be screwed and mark the holes for the screws with an awl or pencil, drill and fasten the hooks. That's all. Worse if the frame is plastic.

    Then either at our own peril and risk we attach the hooks on the sides of the baguette itself, or we make more reliable design, as in the example in the photo. To do this, we assemble a wooden stretcher inside.

    You can either order it ready-made in a baguette workshop, or assemble it yourself from a bar 2-3 cm wide. and attach to the frame with mounting tape.

    To show how all this can be done, I performed my master class just from a plastic frame. How to do this is shown in detail in the photo of the back side.

    If you are reluctant to tinker with the stretcher, then you can go the other way - at the very beginning of the work, remove the backdrop from the frame, measure the ruler and cut out exactly the same piece of plywood or chipboard on which you decoupage, and then insert it into the frame. And attach the hooks directly to the plywood.

    5. I hang on the wall with 2 self-tapping screws, on which I put on the D-rings of the frame. We do not hang on a rope or cable, it will dangle and the keys will begin to fall off.

    The master class is over. The housekeeper is ready!

    This master class shows, perhaps, the easiest and most budgetary way to make a housekeeper with your own hands. It is simple in materials, manufacturing techniques and does not require much time.

    Other ideas for making a key holder

    There is still a mass different ways and ideas for making such a wonderful interior gift - from embroidery, with a photo, comic and others. I will share my ideas with you.

    With embroidery

    One of the most comfortable and warm options- is the manufacture of a key holder with embroidery. The photo shows three examples of such solutions, moreover, each embroidery is framed not just in a frame, but in the form of an opening box, inside which hooks are attached. The box inside can be painted with acrylic paint or sheathed with velvet mat.

    It will take a long time to make a gift, but the result will be worth it! An easier way is to frame the embroidery and attach the hooks directly to the baguette, as in the next photo.
    Another idea with embroidery for a wedding or housewarming is to perform a metric for the newlyweds or newcomers on the embroidery with their names and the date of an important event.

    Such a gift immediately becomes personal and even more expensive for its addressee.

    With photo

    If there is no time for embroidery, then why not insert a finished photo into a frame? Then the hooks can be simply screwed onto the baguette, as our master class tells. The idea is simple to implement, but it will turn out to preserve the personality of the gift, especially if, instead of a simple photo, you make a small photo collage and decorate it using the digital scraping technique.

    With humor

    The wall key holder can be decorated in a comic style. Here is a short master class: we take out the backdrop from the finished frame, sew several items onto it - a banknote, vintage keys or any other suitable items. Attach a printed sign “in case of urgent need to break the glass!” From the bottom, then put it all back in a frame under glass.

    From the branch

    A rather extravagant option for fans of eco-style can be made from a thick branch. The tree will have to be thoroughly dried and soaked through with furniture varnishes, after which you will attach the hooks and get such a rather non-standard solution for the interior.

    From a ready-made base

    The easiest option is to make a housekeeper from a ready-made decoupage base, which are sold in hobby stores. Plywood blank can be made in any shape, for example, in the form of a house. You will have to decorate it using decoupage technique.

    From old furniture

    Another mega-creative option is to make a housekeeper out of an old cabinet door. How to implement it, the following video master class tells in detail:

    Do-it-yourself housekeeper: 80 photos of stylish and practical ideas for modern interior design

    How long have you been looking for your keys? It doesn't matter when: in the morning, hurrying to work, or in the evening, going for a walk. We should also mention the key holders, access to which must be limited - a mini-safe. The structure will look like a lockable cabinet (on the network you can find a huge number of different photos of hand-made key holders), and should be placed in a secret place.

    For those who are constantly improving their home and keeping it in their own style, you can make a locker in the form of a house or decorate it with additional elements. This will allow not only to do decorative element, but also surprise everyone with your imagination.

    How to make a wall key holder with your own hands?

    We'll need a box. The more original it is, the more effective the wall key holder will be. We attach elements to the back wall to fix the structure on the wall. It is enough to place the hinges, which will be convenient to hang on the self-tapping screws.

    Plywood - universal material that can be used almost anywhere. If you have leftovers or pieces, then using a special tool, you can create a unique piece of art.

    What do I need to do? Everything is very simple:

    • draw the desired pattern on a sheet of plywood;
    • find a manual jigsaw in your "bins";
    • carefully cut out the elements (if you have slightly damaged the surface, use an electric wood burner);
    • fasten all the elements and enjoy the result!

    Ideas for decorative key holders

    Let's reveal a few more secrets of making a decorative masterpiece.

    Using dry twigs will add a unique touch to your creation. It is enough to place them on a wooden board. You should not choose thin branches, because under the weight of the key, they can break. Be sure to process the wood!

    This is just the beginning of the journey! Having gained experience, you will be able to embody all your fantasies and completely decorate your room with masterpieces.

    Registration of key holders

    If at heart you are more an artist than a sculptor, then it doesn't matter! Stock up acrylic paints and fantasy. After all, you can make a work of art from any box or board.

    This approach will work for anyone, as you don't need special cutting tools or skills. It is enough to start drawing.

    "A DIY gift is the most valuable." This phrase has been with us since kindergarten... If then we made crafts from leaves and chestnuts, then why not apply these skills now?

    After all, a housekeeper with her own hands will become a valuable item not only at home, but also an excellent gift for family or friends. By doing something ourselves, we put our soul into it. Anyone will appreciate this approach.

    Many novice businessmen are thinking about manufacturing at home. Such a desire is fully justified, especially in connection with the realities of the present time. We have already written an article about. In this article, we'll look at a variety of home-made ideas and comment on each idea. We also ask you to suggest your home production ideas in the comments below the article to supplement the article.

    Home production benefits

    1. The need to spend the lion's share of income on rental of premises... This is home production. This issue is especially problematic for start-up entrepreneurs, where rents can eat up most of the profits.
    2. At first, such a production can be unofficially... Of course, this is only a temporary measure, which, nevertheless, will help to get back on its feet and gain a foothold in the chosen industry.
    3. Ability to adjust production volumes... All costs will be driven by raw material costs. This allows you to change the volume of production depending on the demand for the offered product.
    4. The minimum investment size.
    5. The ability to make a profit almost immediately.

    All this allows you to multiply the chances of success and significantly reduce the risks. Next, the most popular and profitable business ideas for production will be presented. At the same time, they will be divided into blocks depending on the ability to work in an apartment or the need to carry out all the work in a private house.

    Home production in an apartment

    In this block, the direction of home production is highlighted, which can be done right in your apartment. For more convenience, we have divided ideas into thematic blocks.

    Food

    One of the most popular industries today is household... This demand is, first of all, due to the fact that the offered goods are everyday goods.

    Fragrant pastries without leaving home

    It is not at all necessary to have a special education to cook homemade goodies. Many women who cook well are successful in this area of business. For work, you will need very little: a mixer, kitchen utensils. Any attentive hostess has it all in the kitchen. Additionally, you can purchase special equipment with which you can knead the dough. A regular oven for small volumes will suffice. Special attention should be paid to baking recipes and their appearance. Taste and aesthetic qualities must be at their best so that buyers are interested in the product. You can subsequently sell pastries on the street or fulfill orders from restaurants and coffee shops.

    Homemade jam

    Necessary costs: from 7-8 thousand rubles.

    For such production, additional equipment may not be required. For normal operation you need: pots, jars with lids of different sizes (preferably small, since it will be easier to sell them), a seaming machine. As for raw materials, there are two ways to go: either buy products in stores or markets, or take everything you need from your own garden. It should be noted that the profitability of such a business in winter is about 30%. But selling jam in the summer is less profitable. Therefore, the blanks made in the summer can be held until winter and sold at a better price.

    Pickles

    Necessary costs: from 10-12 thousand rubles.

    Vegetables and mushrooms can be used as a base. The former can be grown independently or purchased at a bargain price from farmers, the latter can be harvested in the forest or purchased at the markets. For work, you will need your own stove, cans, lids, a seamer and the actual raw materials. By the way, you don't have to limit yourself to cucumbers and mushrooms. The following dishes are quite popular today: sauerkraut and pickled cabbage, Korean carrots. It is worth thinking in advance about product marketing. If the production is still very small, you can offer to buy something to your acquaintances, friends, neighbors.

    Production of semi-finished products

    Here, an option is being considered when an entrepreneur is engaged in the manufacture of sausages, sausages, dumplings, dumplings from meat purchased from farmers or at meat processing plants. If the businessman plans to raise animals himself, then he will need a country farm in which he will keep livestock. In this case, you will need to obtain permission to carry out sales at the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station. All actions will have to be coordinated with them too.

    Therefore, semi-finished products are the most acceptable option. In the beginning, it is better not to make the assortment large. About 30 items will be more than enough. It is worth taking care of the cooking recipes. The tastier and more unusual the product is, the greater the demand for it will be.

    For work, you need ordinary kitchen utensils. Particular attention should be paid to the choice of knives, meat grinder. A separate freezer for storing finished products and simple meat.

    Homemade phyto tea

    Necessary costs: from 4-6 thousand rubles.

    Today, people are increasingly monitoring their health and well-being. That is why the demand for “healthy” products is growing rapidly. Various herbal teas are no exception. At the same time, the work does not require special tools and costs. Herbal gathering can be done on your own in the summer, leaving for nature. The missing ingredients can be purchased at the pharmacy. In this case, the sale is best done dry. You can also think about beautiful packaging of goods - buy special bags, print labels with the manufacturer's phone number, name and composition of the collection. It is very important to respect the proportions. A variety of recipes and the addition of spices, aromatic herbs will only increase demand. For work, you will need measuring scales, containers and raw materials.

    Packing bulk goods

    Necessary costs: from 10-15 thousand rubles.

    In this case, the sales volume will largely depend on how the packaging is designed. What can be packaged? Nuts, seeds, cereals. You can buy these goods at the base or at some warehouse, pack them at home and offer your neighbors to buy a package of goodies at a bargain price. If you go to a more serious level, you will need a more detailed and professional approach to the creation of packaging. At first, you can do this manually. And gradually look for large customers who will be ready to buy products in bulk.

    Needlework

    This block contains such production formats that require special skills or talent from the entrepreneur.

    Decorative ornaments made of polymer clay

    Necessary costs: from 8-10 thousand rubles.

In order for a product to be in demand, you need to put imagination, enthusiasm and skills into your products. The low cost helps to get a decent income for handicrafts.

    There are many options. They can be made from wood, shells, sequins, beads and other decorations. In this case, all costs are reduced to the purchase of the necessary raw materials. Interesting ideas, diagrams can always be found on the Internet. Particular attention should be paid to the upholstery of the inside of the box, handles. If the product is quite large, it makes sense to insert a mirror in size into it. It is worth taking care of the creation of special fasteners for storing rings, earrings, chains.

    Handmade stained glass

    Necessary costs: from 14-18 thousand rubles.

    Such decorations are used today to decorate the interior. Stained-glass windows are attached to walls, partitions, windows, doors. At the same time, the competition in this industry is not so high. Of course, it takes skill to work. Artistic ability is also encouraged. This work is quite laborious, but the pay will be impressive. Depending on the technique, you may need: oil paints, epoxy resin, glue, gelatin, dyes. The drawing is applied to colored glass. This is usually done not with brushes, but with thin needles - it is with the help of them that the contours of the image are drawn, and only then they are painted.

    Handmade soap

    Necessary costs: from 8-15 thousand rubles.

To create such toys, you do not need expensive equipment, and the materials are quite inexpensive. One such product can be sold for 5-15 thousand rubles. Selling Montessori toys is best done online. Delivery by mail in Russia will not be so difficult. For work, you may need a variety of parts, a board to which they will be attached and tools for fastening.

    Atelier at home

    In fact, it is no different from the usual one, except for the volume of production. At the same time, the seamstress will receive all the profits, which can significantly reduce the final cost of the product. The work will require special knowledge, skills, work experience. The demand for a master may mean that he will initially have regular customers who can bring several more people with him.
